Hope you've put the padding on the cars, they've changed who preps the track again and i've been told that it's even worse than before!!! Now it's only sprayed down the centre of the lane, and only a light mist, and they dont spend enough time on the tyre drag to get enough heat into it.
BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!

startline was right on the money...
OK, I was all loaded up ready to go and on my way there but was running abit late but thats normal for me as i had thing's to do , Then the boy's rang me and told me take it home, they said not to bother the track just wasn't there which was pretty disappointing as i was really looking forward and pretty confident of putting the car comfortably in the top 20 for a start , All's Chop mustered was a 9.5?@150.9 and then later on ran a 9.3?@150.8 having pretty bad traction issue's, Racecar was having major traction issue's aswell and was very very unstable in the top end and had to back off but still recorded a couple of easy 8's @ around high 159mph mark, will try to venture up to heathcote "maybe" this weekend for a bash if Alan has the time to, ATM his doing some work for a major car company and i know his flat chat of late so hopefully if we can it will be a good start...

The only time Calder will be closed for resurfacing or any other major works is when they get someone to run the place that actually knows what they are doing and isn't just a yes man for Bob Jane.
They wont do the work because they simply aren't making enough money to do it, and business has dropped off dramatically since about the middle of April, which is about the same time they sacked me from doing the track prep. Coincidence?????
I was also told last night that they are getting racers to fill out surveys, with questions regarding how the complex can be improved. I know that a few of the guys had complained about the track prep and commented to re employ me!!!!

They get out of it by the conditions printed on your entry tickets- MOTORSPORT IS DANGEROUS YOU RACE AT YOUR OWN RISK...
It sucks but that's how they cover there asses, and they dont care if you get down the track or not, as long as you pay at the gate then they are happy. That is why the entries are dropping and they cant see it. There excuse is 'it's too cold at the moment, thats why it's a bit slow'.... I prepped the track for 5 years through winter and never had entries drop below 70, because the guys that come out knew that i did my job with there safety interests in mind..... How many quick pro street type cars do you see out there now??? None, and wont see them till something is done about the track and management, or we get a new race track, which is the most possible option....

the track was nb.. what everyone needs to understand is the weather is pretty cold so it doesnt help the track temps.. we spoke with peter last night and he was stoked when we told him the car went 8.60.. he said in winter its hard to get a perfect track but they will try there best to get it perfect when the weather starts to heat up.. soo i guess we will have to wait till then.. vids are up...

Excuses..... you're getting fed the lines and you're believing them...... Ask them to go back in their records (that's if they keep any) and see how many accidents there were prior to april, and go back 5 years through all conditions, and then see how many there have been since april. I can tell you that there has been at least 1 every week for the past 3 months, and it has nothing to do with track temp...... It has to do with time spent working on the track which they do hardly any now.

You'll find that wont protect them in the slightest should anything happen, as running the event they owe a duty of care to all patrons, and should anything happen and complaints have been made in writting, they WILL be held negligent, especially as concerns about the track prep have been made and ignored.
