hey all does anyone on here have Quicktrack on there pride and joy, i was talking to a bloke that has it on his vx commo and he was telling me that reception isnt the best especially in his garage, Quicktrack asked him that they will test the security system on his car, whist him being on the phone and they could not find the car after he had told them it was in his garage. Has anyone had the same fault with there Quicktrack, or heard of this happening Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I think it has some good spots and some bad spots. Where abouts does he live because i know if i stole a car i would be gunning it to a area quick track doesnt cover. I think they show the areas covered on the site. It is a waste of money if your friend lives in a area that is out of the tracking area.

Yes heard of this many times before Quiktrak doesn't actually stop your car being stolen so it still gets damaged and driven as above there are areas not covered so recovery isn't guaranteed

mate i am quicktraks most valued customer. they have my number on speed dial i highly recommend these guys any1 can walk up to a car and smash your pannels. no alarm system can stop that quiktrak is the only alarm system suitable for the professional theif nothign else will do as soon as any 1 of the 10 sensors are set off you are called immediately. if u cant check on your car and quiktrak acknowledges someone is trying to steal your car, they will send police straight away normally the systems cost $1500 + as a long standing customer they did a whole new system on my new car for me, onnly $600, brand new tracker, new back up batteries, all new wiring, alarm, sensors etc. obviously there are certain tracking zones. sydney, melbourne and brisbane. as i live in the eastern suburbs of sydney its going ot take them along time to get out of sydney say they set off my alarm @ 1:15am and happen to get through my 5 immobilisers, i will be called immediatly by quicktrak with 2 options a) turn the car off immediately b) let them continue driving and try get the police to intercept the vehicle. so its now 1:16am and ive told them to turn the car off and send police to the location of the car asap. there is honestly nothing these theives can do, wack it on the back of a truck it will still be getting tracked and cops will still be pursing. my car was broken into and i was called by quicktrak immediately. went to the car and they had smashed a window and stole my cd player obviously no system is fool proof. but when it comes to the ultimate car security nothing beats this. if i ever leave my car somewhere dodgy i tell then and they keep the tracker on their screen and they can monitor the cars exact position for aslong as i ask for. I often ring them up after a night out if i left my car somewhere just to confirm, have there been any alarms/ sensors set off etc. this is the ultimate piece of mind. and in the event of an emergency and you are uncontactable the police will be dispatched to the location of the car asap and immobilisers actived should they get around them in the 1st place. y pay thousands and thousands for mods when you can get it taken from you so easily?

my mate lives in ulladulla south coast but i have just looked at the site and ya right not all areas are covered for Quicktrak, tho its a great system otherwise if ya happen to live in urban places not good for country tho from what i just saw..

quicktrack is good and it is also expensive, they charge u no matter what 360 a year and it doesnt matter if u have been with them for 1 year or 10 years, to me i think 360 a year is a bit of a rip off if they covered australia wide ok, but they dont thats the thing it is also easy to tell if a car has a quicktrack too

the police aren't employed by quicktrak so no guarantee that they'll come asap when called despite what quiktrak may claim and i don't think they can shut the car down without police o.k. first lots of sydney locations where it won't work and thieves know that they can disable it too, it's just like an alarm and they get around them

I had Quick Track on my old VL there not bad good investment for your car if you drive it daily but nothing will ever stop car theifs from stealing they will find a way you can only warn theifs you have protection.

Russell they can shut the car down whenever the customer wants. ive got them to disable my car many times. i say to them even if someone with a key trys to start it dont let them. i do it all the time when i park out west. when i got my car broken into, the police were there within in 5 minutes of quicktrak calling me. any1 can run another battery to a fuel pump and jump the car, but are they gonna rewire the whole interior wiring so that they can get away scott free? sure if u got a whole day to pull everything out without being tracked. at the end of the day if i park my car somewhere and it moves 1 cm without me disarming it i will be notified. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Yeh i agree with what paul is saying. It is not insurance. They dont rebate you if your car is stolen and they dont replace or refund your car. You are bascially paying 300 or what ever for having the system to which if somebody does steal it they still break in and thrash it and might crash or burn it to which this system wont cover you for. It is better to use the money towards full insurance. This system would be good if you pay each time so say 5 bux when you use it or suumething like that. Your car doesnt need to be tracked 24/7. It only needs tracking when it is stolen.

right on paul i dont know why ur stressing mate. there isnt a better alarm out there. 99.9% of theives will have no chance against quiktrak the ex quiktrak installers turn crims are the ones u gotta watch out for... lol, but i hope that doesnt happen.

nah not worried at all, i have big security on my vl that is worth more then some peoples VL's here on this site. but i think that the more alarms u have the better it is of keepin ur car longer
