I have a 253 with a Trimatic at the moment and want to swap that for a Turbo 350 or Turbo 400 (or better still to manual) and wanted the names and phone numbers of some places in Melbourne that could source/make the box and do the installation.

KEAS are too retarded to have their phone number on the website or yellowpages, and so I don't feel the need to do business with them. Are Yarra Valley as reputable as KEAS though?

Don't bother with keas, not interested in doing conversions. Must be retarded.

Damn. Does anyone make an adaptor or bellhousing to put a T5 either from a Ford or Holden onto a Trimatic pattern V8?

LOL, I think if you were serious about a box, KEAS expert, tried and true reputation would be leading you in the door Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That or they mustn't be interested in doing conversions. Fair enough though, they make transmissions and that's all. A bit weird that nobody has suggestions for a good place to do a straight up conversion though (rather than a place that will make a tough box.) I called KEAS, he's going to call me back. Thinks he can get the parts even if he can't do the labour which is fine by me. Also called Pro Automatics - he said he could do it but I'm assuming he's rather busy. He quoted twice what I'd been told elsewhere and that was with a standard rebuilt box (turbo 350.)

Can't keep up at the moment. Desperately need holiday to get some sanity back. I not taking on anymore work- not fair on customers who have been quietly waiting. My usual R&R guy (Goran from GZM) is a Football (Soccer) tragic and ****ting around Europe at the moment so we can't even help with the conversion. Call me after 10am Tuesday and I'll see when Goran gets back.
