Really depends how extreme you want to go with it. Theres plenty of options - VT which is better than stock or 4 spot caliper such as RX7, Nissan, etc.

Mate that isn't true it is only the VT brake upgrades that have problems because the caliper pistons are so big at 42mm ea the master cyl doesn't cope with the fluid fill and you get a lower pedal.
If a decent upgrade is done like the Group A or many others you don't need to do the booster or sometimes not even the master cylinder its just everyone puts VT brakes on there car because they are affordable and then they find they need a bigger master or booster mod and ends up costing alot more in the end..

17-07-06, 14:16 GMT+10#10 ^^^^^ so your trying to tell me that if you were to get a big brake upgrade
and i dont really class the vt one's big (298 disks twin piston calipers)
that the std vlt master and booster will get the 100% preformance the big brakes have to offer ??

They make them easier to push the pedal in.

YESHave you seen the PBR Performance upgrade ?Like Group A on the front and vented discs on the rear .This is designed by PBR who design brake systems and you do not need a bigger master or booster.A larger master cylinder will give you a better pedal if you need one but it will require more force on the pedal to get more brake pressure .I could put a AP Racing 4piston caliper with 330mm rotors on a VN for instance and it will stop great and have good pedal feel and you won't need to put a bigger booster on it.

Both R32 and RX7 4 pot calipers use a 15/16" master from the factory. Therefore a 1" master is more than adequate.

dude thats very far fetched if you think you can put these brake on a std vn and get 100% of what there capible of out of them
thats just a joke
im sure if you talk to AP Racing the'll tell that the recomended master and booster is bigger than a STD VN
and why are the newer commo's masters biggger ?
clearly cause they work better
hey i dont even care im putting vt 298 twin pistons cal's on my vlt soon and i wont upsize master or booster but i bet if i did get a master and booster out of a vt with these brakes it would be better

allways here to save the day
ok then ill ask AP Racing my self what the recomended size booster and master is and will see
i personally dont think it would be the same as a STD VN will see i could be wrong
and if i am wrong ill be asking allot of questions too manufactures and race teams why there masters and boosters are so big for what reason my VN's got some and there fine size for your BMW M5, AMG CL65 & V8 supercar
