not long at all, probably 1hr to redo shocks, 25mins to weld sleeves, 5 mins to drill towers, and about 3hrs to fit and stuff around... drives real good much better then the old springs which suffered from coil bind... delivers a real good feel thru the steering, handles really well and high and low speed cornering... waiting for springs to sag in before taking it for wheel alignment. bout 3 weeks...
Costs.
$170 springs
$250 camber tops (we got them for free thats a rough price)
$250 Koni Coil over sleeve kit
$200 KYB shocks
$15 Tap
total $885 we only paid $635 as we had free camber tops...
camber tops are bit cheaper then those noltec/k-mac ones...
FYI - If you are going to use koni shocks get ones to suit s13's (probably need to space them inside strut) and the thread maybe hard to machine with ajustment in them...
Well we took it for a good strap last night and it seems to be only limited by tires now, mate does not wan't anything but persuit's so looking at sorting something out there...
Rear is not doable without extreme mods but a well sorted spring and shock setup (got rear koni yellow's on this one) will do a good job, ajustable ride height could maybe be sorted with a sleeve welded in as the bottom spring seat, but who knows without having a go .

NZ VLCT would you recommend this front coilover upgrade from a handling point of view?
Edit: Or do you believe that it is fairly useless without the rears to match?
I would make a few changes personally, but yeah, front only is still a gain, coil overs dont give you better handling as such, correct spring rates and shock rates do (among other things), they give you height adjustment and the ability to get any spring rate and length you want, thats the advantage.
Thats awsome NZ VLCT thanks for the pics mate doesnt look to hard, did you notice a big difference with the coil overs all round? And what discs have you got on the rear, are they vented?

Definitely vented. And they also look to be 2-piece.
