sounds stupid, sounds ridicilous, i dunno why, i wanna indash dvd player ive been looking at this Pioneer one (3000 at jb) and this alpine one dunno wh at the alpine is worth, both touch screen, 7" screen blah blah blah the alpine one is the top of the range as with the pioneer.... does anyone have a clue as which is a better one? i cant decide...... the thing that the pioneer that it has over the alpine is the vehicle dynamics processor upgrade for it, which tells you speed and all this other stuff (its more for fun lol) but it needs an electric signal not mechanical form the speedo (ill find a way around that easily) i wanna know what people think, alpine or pioneer.... btw, my gf can get them cheaper than rrp as her brother works for jbhifi...... thanks people.. (oh, and its an easy way to double the price of my calais lol)

i was lookin at the europe site, its more detailed, and it works with that screen too.... last week at work i was looking at it

Go the alpine.. i bought the pioneer so that i could get the vehicle dynamics processor upgrade but found it way to slow and pretty much useless, also not a big fan of pioneer anymore so i sold it all on to a mate and it has since been sold on about 2-3 times for the same reasons.. its all just wank factor.. go the alpine you'l be happier with it

does the top of the screen hit on the dash?? thats why i never went for a dashmounted screen.

They kinda sorta hit the dash (only a tiny little bit). Have a chat to Nomad-he installed his, and had to file away a little bit of his dash. Dunno about anyone else though-haven't seen it on vl's much.

yep, the 6.5" screen hits the base of the aerial switch, but yeah all fixed... im going to mount the screen a different way in my next car, so we'll see how that goes... will put pix up when its done

i partially agree with jazza88, i will hands down take an eclipse deck anyday over any, ALPINE PIONEER KENWOOD **** you would try and throw at me, look outside the square coz thats where the quality lay not the quantity,

yes they hit, i have pissed off the aircon controlls and all that **** and moved the tv to the middle of the centre piece, still need a custom surrounding made up
