hey guys i just thought i might throw some pics up of my vlct. i have most probably lost my licence for a while and the car will be off the road for a full makeover till i get it back.. its pretty much standard cept for the fmic, exhaust and lil boost.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i bought the car about 6 months ago off my brothers mate who sold it for a song [$3000] its condition was a little ruff but it was due to neglect and lack of knowledge.. it already had the autotecnica intercooler fitted and some dodgy stainless ic piping eg, instead of a swage on the pipe for the hose to grip onto it had a couple of gay spot welds that couldnt take 10psi without numerous pipes popping off since then i have done the exhaust to a 3in mandrel in mild steel, replaced the box with a yarra vally built 4spd with 2800 stall and ratchet shifter, fitted the rims (20" dolce DC4's) witch was a mission but they fit sweet as now.. all new pedders shocks and springs with a whiteline panhard bar (adjustable on-car type) and all new nolathane bushes.. also installed a manuel bleed type boost controler set to 12psi.. thats all i can remember off the top of my head.. im acctually building two cars at the moment and its very easy to get confused what you have done to what car... its a headache i tell ya...! thanks for the comments guys.. the calais will be going into dash sport to get a new custom cooler and rad with all new piping etc, also getting my rajab plenum fitted with new fuel system [044 pump 363's and surge tank] and a haltech E11... just waiting for cash to get my turbo and exh manifold done then i will rub one out on the dyno let the boys know what kind of powe she's making the turbo will most likely be a gt4294 w/turbosmart gate.. cheers fellas Jorg... wleh Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hey Jorg it's worth giving Justin a call (his number is in my sig) he's a mechanic on the beaches with alot of experience with vl turbos (pretty much all he works on), he's building mine.. great prices and local as well.

Yeah i know justin he's a friend of my brothers.. he's vl's are makin good power but im chasin that lil more.. the guys working on my car would more than likely be some of the best mechanics in sydney.. darren from dash sports does all my alloy and stainless work if anyone knows anything about rallying would know this guy is a guru.. i have jake and ezio from city performance doing all the tuning.. and paul vesch from procar building the engine to cope with it all... looking for around 400rwkw on streetable boost... oh and it will likely be running a jatco 3spd from keas or al's race glides.. thanks

400rwkw on pump on a streetable tune? Morgz was running a turbo like yours, and was expecting around 360rwkw on pump. Pump fuel and C16 are two very different things.

yeh sounds good man, will be a weapon.. morgz's setup was fairly laggy, wasnt on full boost till mid to high 4k rev mark if i remember correctly
