i emailed them asking about a lpg gas kit for my calais and got this reply. Leigh, We do not reccomend GasResearch products be used on turbo applications. Please see our fitters list on the website for technicians who may be able to suggest a solution for your application. Thankyou for your enquiry.

Not sure if you have heard of it but our new work ute have been converted to the new system called vapour gas, gas is put directly in to the inlet runners. System is all automatic and when temp gets to 30 degress it starts to change to gas all by itself, but does it gradually I think. Apparently the best thing getting around. Not sure if thats any help or not?

wtf who replied to you??? their whole business is based on performance gas systems, their own site advertisers turbo gas cars and the people ive spoken to in person about it were always in support of it, hopefully they dont have new management or its probably a newb employee.

gas research (the actualy company in qld who have the 1800 number) have NO IDEA ABOUT ANYTHING. dont talk to them for advice or anything LOL just buy stuff off them and leave it at that.. trust me i ordered a water injection barb for their own throttle body the other day and they didnt know what i was talking about at first, and then said that i have to run a water pump to pump water into it for it to work (which is wrong, im using a basic mechanical setup which i know for a fact many people have used before with it.. the red xe that has run 10.1 runs the same setup). If you want advice etc call sprint automotive/gas research performance centre in dandenong in victoria. Who ever you spoke to should be fired.... I have spoken to them numerous times about turbocharged 6's and V8s.

yeh gas research was bought out last year by a queensland mob, all production and the like moved up to Queensland. They didn't retain any of the original manufacturing people.

apparently now they dont reccommend GRA mixers for turbo applications as they leak heaps of gas out under boost as alot of there mixers now are using cheaper parts and therefore aren't the best quality anymore. (stripped teeth on the meetering rod etc.) I've never had any probs with mine though, but mine was bought over 2 years ago.
