just run the 6x9's off high pass and you should be alright. just that 6x9's and subs dont sound that good together imo and a lot of people on caa say that aswell. anyone else? -George

would it be wise to mount the 6x9s into wooden sealed boxes on the rear shelf how much would it cost to get some dynamat on the 4 doors and boot?

dont even bother with mounting them in boxes. just put them in the shelf as you normally would and make sure that your amp is set on high pass filter. -George

you can always get thoes door pods and move the pockets back abit... so i should ditch my 6x9's and chuck my fusion 6 1/2" in?

ive got an eclipse sub, alpine amp, 6x9s in the shelf and 6" in the door, sounds good... dont know why u think they sound crap. if you have a good deck u should be able to control the volume of the subs and the volume of the splits etc seperatly.

yes, but as i said a few posts up, if you're gonna keep the 6x9's just set them on highpass from your amp and let the sub do all the work, therefore only the high notes are going through the 6x9's.

i just put some VS door pods onto my friends VK today, they look good if painted same colour as dash, very easy to do they fit straight on Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i installed my 6" speakers at the back of the door trim, where the seat is, has a good opening there but need spacers so it doesnt hit the window.

why would you do that? The map pockets are easy to move back along the door (four screws) and it would sound alot better with the splits at the front of the door.
