Question 1 I am swapping my std vlt inlet manifold to a power ported NA manifold ! Now do i need to use the air regulator that comes with my std vlt manifold or do i need to use a NA one ? The NA maifold that i am using was setup for LPG with AFTERMARKET EMS .. XF TB without the coolant lines ! However i am using std computer with petrol and no pullution gear ! Question 2 I assume u need to run the fuel pressure regulator control solenoid valve from the facotry vlt item ? however running no pullution will i encounter any issues should i use the NA one ? I hope that helps and is clear as im in the process of doing it now thank you

Q1. I haven't compared the N/A to turbo regulator, but i'd be confident they are the same. It's just a heat activated valve. Q2. You could get away with no solenoid valve. It's just to raise fuel pressure while starting when the engines hot. The solenoid on my old motor had been dead for years, and i never had any trouble starting it. If you decide to keep the VLT solenoid, you would need to use the surge tank and check valve with it.

I think you might be looking at the charcoal canister Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Possibly as this is the cold start system and air idle circuit for air con. Go to a wreckers and pinch a hose!

Ahh your talking water lines not air system. You can block them off but!!!! You loose the highest bleed point in the engine for coolant and you may get air trapped within the system. You may be able to bypass the throttle body by using a longer hose. If all you have changed on the std man is the TB then this shouldn't be a problem!

Connect the line as the air regulator relies on this air passing through it to operate the cold start correctly Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

no probs dude thanks from all ya help really appreciated ill have a look at the gregories to see where the hose from the top the air reg leads to the plenum andrew Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ok guys im nearly completed this ! I have one issue ! The area of concern is the hose that goes from top of air reg to the inlet manifold (just under the coolant points ) This plug that the hose normally connects to on the plenum has been welded up ! Can i redirect this hose to another area of the manifold ? Or can i get away with connecting/joining it to the hose that goes from firewall side of the inlet manifold to the cooler pipe?? cheers

It can go anywhere on the inlet manifold/plenum. The air reg bypasses air around the throttle butterfly, so connecting it to the inlet manifold/plenum should achieve this.

connect it to the small hole on the passenger side where the rocker cover emission hose goes. Do you have a manual or auto, you may run into trouble with the whole XF t/body thing, check the last few pages of JD plenum page in Advertisers section.

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
