just wanna get a ruff idea of how to set up my sistem in my vl. i want it 2 pump hard.. i got 2 12" pioneer VCCS subs in my room, but i was at jb 2day and i heard the bas from the JL subs and they are unbelivble.. i was thinkin of buying 2 12" JL audio subs.. these have mad bass (selling the pioneers that i have) but now i dont no wat do do about the rest of the speakers, i listen 2 pioneer, kicker and JL 6*9's, kicker were really bassy, JL didnt have much bass but was really clear, and pioneer was inbetween these 2.. i still want 2 put in a set of 6" speakers at the front of the car.. and some tweeters.. which 6*9's should i go for considering i have 2 subs (will the kicker 6*9's destort 2 much.. thinkin bout things lyk that.. or will the JLs bee 2 highpitch wen loud etcc) and also wat should i do about the front speakers? go for 6 inchs and tweeters or what? would really appreciate the help! thanx

if your putting in 2 12" subs, dont bother with 6x9's. get some splits for the front and either 6" at the back or another set of splits. i duno what brands, but im sure sum1 here will have the info you need.

splits are for treble. basically they are a 6 or 6.5 inch speaker with a crossover and tweeter. 6x9's will work ok too, just got to set them up right from the amp.

Sound deadening should be your first priority, decent setup is your 2nd. Talk to Tower Audio they will be able to give you a hand. Don't put in 6 x 9's when you have a sub

So, with a sub you definetely don't want to run 6x9's? Whys this? Does anything go in place of the 6x9's that you don't need?

IF YOU WANT THE SUBS TO THUMP HARD MAKE SURE YOU ARE RUNNING THE RIGHT CABLE 0 GUAGE IS THE BEST WAY TO GO LIL MORE EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT HERES A SITE FOR SOME CHEAP CABLING you wont need zero gauge for all your amps just the sub amp (mono or 2 chan) just use 4 gauge on any other amp you have for speakers etc! http://www.crazycables.com.au

i was thinkin settin it up lyk this: 2x 6" splits at the front (doors) 2x 1" tweeters in the middle (btwn the 2 doors on the pillar) or at the front 2x 6x9's in the parcel shelf 2x 12" subs in the boot would this sound good or?? and what speakers should i run off amps (should i share any) and what wattage amps.. if u get me? anyone have any better suggestions?

dont bother with seperate tweeters, cos the splits have tweeters in them. and maybe it'd be easier to put new 4" splits in teh dash instead of installing splits in the front doors, jst 2 save u sum work. you'll also need 2 think about how you place the subs, i recommend facing them forward in 2 seperate boxes sitting just behind the step, and you'de wnat sub boxes that lean the subs bak a bit. But thats just my opinion should do fine the amp u get all depends on the subs you're gonna power and how much you wanna spend. Those bright orange ones, i forget what they're called, all jb shops sell them, i recommend you buy that brand. Heres your 2 common options for amps and setup @ the rear: 1) run ur subs off a mono block and get a 2 channel amp for the 6x9's 2) get a 4 channel amp, bridge the 2 rear channels to the subs and run the 6x9's off the 2 front channels. If you're worried about the speakers "fighting" for bass u can filter out some of the bass from the 6x9's via the amps Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

also if you're worried about distortion you could put anotha 2 channel amp under the passenger seat for the fronts, as the head unit's amp is normally shockin when you turn it up
