ok guys i know know what a dose pipe is now does any one know what material is most suitable and some sizes ie. the size of the turbo inlet to ? is the bigger the louder, will too big not work just one bend at the filter end or will heaps of bends make a longer sound ? what grade mesh ? i just would nt mind makeing one up for a joke to see what its like please keep this thread clean of bull **** so it does not get closed thanks pictures if any one's got any thanks CARCRAZY for re-opening this thread

hey mate buy a 3inch or 2.5 inch mandrel bend also a joiner from the bend onto the turbo and slap a pod on the end! or just get a stright piece of pipe straight off the turbo with a joiner and any kind of mesh over it and thats it! add me to msn and ill show u pics and talk to u more about it there man! i think its redjetvlt that experimented with diffrent dose pipes. he will be able to tell you what makes the dose do what.

i had a airfilter just running of my turbo n was loud as its just hard 2 find a filter thatll fit in that space

some one told me ages ago if i put 's' bends only not st8 lenghts at all the noise will be loud & drone out for ages is this true?

3" pipe, throw a 90deg. bend off it. bring it close to the ground and attach a pod filter to the end. having the pipe closer to the ground would make it echo slightly more, just be cautious of bumps n bad weather (water)

I know if i was selling my car i probably wouldn't even advertise it here, leigh of all people should know it's full of dreamers and tossers only looking to say whats wrong with the car lol. For the record, a 2 1/2 inch pipe will sound best, about 6 inch long with no bends ideally but i wouldn't recommend using mesh instead of a filter on the street for any prolonged period of time..

Run the pipe out under the wheel arch for absolute maximum impact.lol. Cut a hole under where the air box would be and stick your pipe through it with some stocking on the end of it or an air filter if you must... I feel like a clown saying this but when I first bought my VL (from Thomastown Vic..from a Muzza...) it was running this setup and the dose it dropped was fvkn incredibly loud because the pipe was outside the engine bay...oh and more boost will equal more dose. I was running 15psi back then and my 'dose pipe' was 3"....

I bought my car off these forums was the smallest add ever ha ha From lil experiance with "dose pipes" Ive had... The stright pipe out with no filter on is loud as a million pigeons (was done with a t4 and I think he was running about 14pounds) Was just a consistant tu tu tu. Went to the exhaust shop got a bend in a pipe they had laying round, so It was directed towards the ground, This changed it a bit more like Tuu with a gap then the consistant "dose" ha ha hope that makes sense Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
