Well what a goddam night.
Went out with the girls from uni last night for dinner and drinks, after we left south melbourne we went to crown casino for a few more drinks. Left the Wagon in the crown casino multi storey car park.
Came out at 1245 to go to the next place to find my driver's side door lock stuffed, My CD player taken (That i put in 3 weeks ago) my boost gauge ripped out of place, my entire CD collection gone (34 CD's) and to top things off my favourite jacket taken. In the process they have ripped apart my dash. COmpletley WHY!!?? it surely didn't need that much damage to be done! I know they're low lifes but come on!
I can't believe the audacity of these people. Not only did they try to steal it by shoving something into the ignition barrel and wrecking it, they absoloutley obliterated my dash. Why the hell do people do this? I've put so much of my money into this car for some low life thieving scum to come along and destroy one of my favourite things.
THe fact that my CD player was stolen doesn't boher me. My CD's i am pissed about and my Jacket i am really really annoyed about. The girls jacket's weren't taken (Which is good because it keeps them off my back ).
Crown security were hopeless. They said they have no camera's in the car park because if they did, they would be liable for any damages incurred. THe only thing they did was file a report and called the police who said there's little to no chance of me getting my stuff back.
I can't believe the state of my Dash board right now. I'm organising a tow at the moment and i'lledit this post soon with model numbers for the CD player but please keep an eye out for the following on any car forums.

dont sell it man. if its something that you really love, just keep hold of it. bad things come in three, defect, break in and i dont know fi there is any others but its nearly over mate! ride it out!
Never take a nice car to crown.Never leave anything of value in the car. Know to many people that have had this happen to them and it has either been their pride and joy or they have left stuff in the car!
sorry to hear charles, but yeh i agree with kane, ditch the plates, get a decent alarm in it. Did they scratch the paint while breaking in? Dash and locks wont be too hard to replace, it could of been alot worse mate, chin up

I have an alarm. The alarm went off. It was about 15 metres from the front door entrance to crown and no one heard a thing, no one saw a thing. I always take my headunit with me but because i was stupid and couldn't be bothered i left it. How freaking dumb

I'll decide what i'm gonna do with the wagon once it's fixed. We re-wired the whole stereo because the last person did such a dodgy job too. GOddamn low lifes.

In the best way possible of course. I got the wagon home last night and today i have pulled apart the interior and did a damage assesment. I'm going to have to get alot of stuff re-wired such as air con, stereo(whats left of it) and lighter.
I'm lucky nothing more got damaged but i'll be looking around the wreckers soon for some parts. Here's some pics
yeah why do they do that to the dash? When my stereo was stolen my dash look simular! And my cd player wasnt even locked in you could just slide it in or out...
Sad to hear man but its no where near bad enough to consider selling the car for imo
I dont understand why they destroy the dash. I'm in 2 mind frames now. Do i persist and shell out a whole lot more cash into this or sell it once i have fixed it back to stock. With the dash out now i have a few options left open.
I still have my snow holiday to save for..... hehehe
