how the hell is a tracker expected to prevent a theft? anyway, hope insurance covers it.

wouldnt matter what insurance i got, the excess would be like $1000 anyway. i had to pay $200 at obrien for new window $128 for new cd player. pain in a$$ obviously trackers dont stop people braking someones windows and hacking out a head unit. towing the car away - well thats a different story... no lock damage jack, altho the passenger lock was already stuffed i think they were very ammateur just looking for a quick 50 to buy crack or something, they even chopped my boost gauge and the wires, and stole the spare in the glovebox all is fixed now just very annoying sucks u got ur car stolen at hospital midz. thats just wrong man..

thank god i was hoping they didnt damage your doors/locks, my old beige rig (kinda like your bt1, but better) got broken into and they ****ed the door, lock and boot as well as dash up hardcore.

yeh man my old calais someone tried to break in what they did was jam a screwdriver between the door and car and pull the door as hard they could. the lock didnt give way just bent the door george pointed it out one day when we were just looking at the car. im like WTF didnt look heaps bad, but u could tell someone had a good hack at it took it to my brother in laws workshop. he grabs the door and bend it back the other way lol. pity about the old beige rid mate... lol

no alarm stops people from breaking into cars. alarms are only good to inform others/owner when something is wrong. might be time to get another alarm dave

why would you want another alarm? i would rather get a phone call to inform me when my car is gettin broken into than have an alarm siren going 10mins when you cant hear it.

u can get an alarm that sends u smses or u can get those alarms with a paging service

What are you actually going to do if you caught someone breaking into your car other then getting stabbed with a screwdriver? Alarms are just annoying, get an immob and dont leave anything in your car.
