Hey guys.. reason i ask is im hell paranoid abou tmy n/a calais. I was going to join a new gym the other day and decided against it as the parking was in a dimly lit car park. After finding out how easy it actually is to getinto and drive away with one of these, i dont want to leave it anywhere. It has alarm.immob etc but just hate the thought of coming back to my car damaged and **** ripped out of it.
Sure i can drive a ****ter as a daily, but you guys with beautiful new paint jobs, slammed, bov's big rims whatever... were do you actually park them?? or are they just used for cruises then tucked away till next time??

But doesnt that ever hinder the whole experience of driving a nice car? Im not having a go at you or anything man thats just the way i am.. i dont see the point of having a beautiful car and then having to worry about were its parked, the paranoia watching whos following you home etc
i don thave to do that now cause mines just el stocko BUT i can only imagine what half of you guys must go through when driving these things around the streets. Especially in sydney.

At work they asked me to park on the lawn, and i made a huge complaint about it, because i couldn't see it.. where a work there are lots of dodgy buggers walking around the streets... and my VL's a n/a... still paranoid about it tho...

if everyone is so paranoid about parking their vls then i recommend getting a drifter that doesnt matter as much, my vl is my daily, its a turbo with wheels n all the shiza.. man i drive it in the city when i go out and leave it in the street, it definately has some security features to keep it safe-ish but i believe if its your daily drivers, you should be ok to leave it anywhere.. or almost..

I think ive just got this impression that if i were to leave my vl in a westfields it wont be ther ewhen i get back.

I park mine in the garage at home. At work behind security gates, guards, with camera's running 24/7 and you need a pass to get in lol. And only other places where im basically standing next to the car.

03-05-06, 16:18 GMT+10#11 at work i park mine on the lawn, actually inside the tennis centre where people stand lol, i aint leaving nothing to chance.
And yeah it does hinder the experience of owning a nice car, but you won't be owning a nice car for long if you don't accept that you can't take them to the shops etc, i dont even though mine looks grandpa spec

04-05-06, 00:38 GMT+10#17 no in bankstown they follow you home or take your rego down give it to habib at the RTA and get ahmeds cuz to tow it away. thats what happened to me and im really careful i only a handful of time parked my Vl at uni where it couldnt be seen. i used to park my VLT at westfields ( miranda/hurstville) and also in the one at cronulla plaza but i would never take it to pov centro in bankstown, ur just asking for trouble. i also park my car on the lawn of my house outside a window.

04-05-06, 09:01 GMT+10#18 I never park mine at a shopping centre, basically i do what SCAMER does with his BT1. But still i cant trust anywhere really because my old VL SL got broken into and it was parked on the street right in front of my house.

04-05-06, 11:23 GMT+10#19 Umm I wont drive my VL on the beach or down really rutty 4WD tracks even tho sometimes it is very tempting... apart from that everywhere.
I think alot of you guys are paranoid. Surely if you have all this money for a nice car you can afford to get it insured for agreed value. I just think if mine gets stolen, yey! new car for me, then i can get one thats even better.

04-05-06, 13:02 GMT+10#20 i used to be really paranoid about leaving my aero anywhere, or driving it in certain places in sydney. i had no worries about people following me home cos i lived 2 hours away.. when it was parked, it was in a garage with my mums 4wd in front of the door, with cops living on both sides.. also, the goulburn police knew me, knew my car. anyone that was seen driving it apart from me was Always pulled up and questioned. this happened to my ex a few times, and also when my dad drove it occasionally..
one night i went out.. it spent the night on the main street (when i lived in goulburn), unlocked with the drivers window down.. noone touched it.
