Hey all im just wondering if LPG lowers the life of your engine? Ive been told it does?
Ive seen that there was Pauls GAS747 on here and i couldn't post in his thread due to not being a full member.
I wanted to do some performance mods to my car and whatever but for highways and crap just run on the LPG so im not using fuel pointlessly if u know what i mean...
just wondering if there is a place i can get more info on running a performance turbo car on fuel and some of the mods that are needed....
cheers
Gas Research and other similar places will be your best bet. But going fast means air, fuel and spark and more and more of it. Dont expect a 400kw monster to be able to get 500km to a tank!

hahah yeah thats why i was thinking hey on a highway or something when all ur doing like cruising.... switching it to gas and whatever so ur not using the good juice....
dont worry ive had the fuel problem with a 450hp supra :P damn thing ate more juice in a day then i do in a week...
i wouldnt do a duel fuel set up. you have to be more tuned to one fuel than the other and it suffers. ill never use duel fuel again, mine always ran like a dog after flicking it over to the other fuel and then back.
straight gas would be ok as you wont have to get EPA'd.

yeah atm my car has a solenoid problem so the car runs on JUST gas.... which is abit of a pain when starting... and its not actually turbo yet... i wanted to find out abit about it first...
cause someone said that a car that has ran on gas is alot weaker.... and yeah ive never actually owned a car that has ran on gas.... so i was interested to know...
ive heard that if you have a duel fuel setup, then you should make sure you regularly use petrol for abit as otherwise the injectors dry out and fail....
dont remember where i heard it, anyone know if its true and to what extent?
ive heard in the past that because gas is a cleaner fuel it will make the car run hotter than it previously would on petrol, and that you would have to replace the valves sooner than you normally would... dont quote me though.
Try sending a PM to either SUXGAS or GAS-747
Both of these people run straight gas and should be able to help you out.

straight gas means the petrol side of the car isnt used at all such as injectors, so they wouldnt know
