Hi all,
am new around here,
Have a question,
Mate of mine has a Red VL Commodore,
and he has been told by his brother (Cars pervious owner) and his bro's mates that the Commodore is a LE (ie Limited Edition).
Anyone ever heard of such a thing??
or are these guys really just taking the p*ss??
Cheers
Chris.

Its not a genuine LE but the kit is real so you've got the lower lip on front, side and rear and the little spoiler off the bootlid.

Ive seen a VL round here with an LE sticker on the RHS of the bootlid. Not a HDT LE (or even a Calais) however, just an Exec with a sticker. I think they may have been some kind of dealer pack. Not entirely sure.

There's a difference between the HDT 'LE' and the normal 'Limited Edition'. The limited edition VL has funny silver decals on the lower doors, and a few extra interior bits thrown in to make the exec base a little classier.

jordy is right, the normal 'limited edition' vl with the fancy writing decals is nothing special really in comparison to a hdt LE which is worth a lot more and more collectable...and that last pic doesn't havn't the LE sidskirts, only calais sideskirts. the le ones are different with different side panels.

There is a such thing as a Limited Edition, which is different to the LE's made by HDT. Which is what I said before
Silver bumpers, tacho dash, silver dot decal on the lower doors, and a few miscellaneous extras on an executive base.
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

18-04-06, 18:41 GMT+10#17 Hey all,
thanks for the replies,
So I need to check,
the body kit, dash, mags, door trims,
I know has no exterior decals or stickers,
as has been repainted.
What else should I look for?
Will see if I can get a pic of it and post it.
Cheers
Chris.

18-04-06, 19:32 GMT+10#18 If an HDT LE, it will have an HDT build plate won't it?
If its just a "Limited Edition" as described above, i doubt there will be anything to identify it if its been resprayed.
