Sorry to bother you, but i was wondering if you would be able to change a post for me. Its in the readers rides section so i cant actually change what ive said, just add to it. If you could could you just delete my original post and replace it with whats below, address to the post is. http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=60519 thanks in advance! ************************************************** ********* Hello, posting this to update what i had here before, and to show you all what some of you have been helping me prepare for road worthy over the past 8 months or so. I originally brought the car off an Internet shopping web site known as ebay, which although the hole process went smoothly and all, i now know i would never do again. When i got the car it was basically a rolling shell. The car came to me with a seized motor, supposedly caused by a lack of radiator fluid, a radiator full of holes, and a gearbox with 3 chipped teeth on the reverse idler gear, which in turn made a very annoying knocking sound every time you let out the clutch. Up to date i have replaced the motor with a wreckers motor, nearly 200,000 km on the clock already, but i blows absolutely no blue smoke and runs fairly smooth, with a flat spot on idle. I have also had to replace the standard mf5 box with another box from a R31 skyline, but it now looks like its going to need a rebuild. Had the radiator reconditioned, holes welded up and pressure tested. Replaced the clutch slave cylinder Seat covers to cover a tear in the drivers seat. Advanced timing. Complete power steering conversion. Air conditioning regased. Some images of the car so far:. Mods to come in order... Full replacement set of colour coded radiator hoses and fuel lines, and replace damn leaking radiator cap. Repainting the dash, slightly lighter colour than factory, beige interior btw. Swap tail lights to genuine Calais items. Calais lower door moulds. Pioneer DEH-P4850MP head unit, (http://www.pioneer.com.au/car_entert...0mp/index.html (http://www.pioneer.com.au/car_entertainment/cdtuners/dehp4850mp/index.html)) VS door pods, 6" drivers to suit, tweeters in stock 4" locations, 6" speakers in the pacal shelf, amp and twin 12" woofers in the boot. More kill switches, imobiliser, alarm, and in cabin screamer, one in boot also. And start collecting stock VLT ECU, injecters, t3 turbo, etc for a high comp turbo conversion later down the track. Let us know what you think, any advise would be great!! PS: I know the hole mock Calais thing is fair wa*nk factor and all, but Calais are just sex, and I just couldnt afford one at the time.
