hey i want to lower my calais but i gto told i will feel every bump, like driving a go kart. Is it really that bad? i only want to lower it 2 inches all the way around cause then it will look mental!

lowering it wont stiffen it much... stiffer shock absorbers will. Just keep with stock ones or slightly stiffer... not rock hard.

06-04-06, 02:45 GMT+10#11 go ultralows all round! You'll need your front guards rolled if you have 18's though (which i found out the hard way, chewed through come expensive rubber on the way to the panel shop)
I'm assured the car sits just above 100mil from the ground so its legal, i haven't measured it myself though. It does look and feel a lot better with stiffer springs, and you'll get used to being able to drive over a $1 coin and know without doubt if it was heads or tails.
Personally i quite like it, but that's my own opinion.
I'd get pics but i probably won't for the same reason that i haven't measured the height of my car...laziness.

kings are harsh as and height varies greatly between pairs of springs (had 2 sets of ultra low rears kings compared them both and heaps of difference)
lovels and whiteline get my vote.
compressing is about $50 a spring if they are out of the car
