EDITED Hey Guys, Seeing all kinda went down hill with the 4, 6 and Rotary Nationals we have decided to do something similar this year, by having a display at AutoSalon. Now it is ages away (12-13 August) But I want to have the Entry forms sent off over the next few weeks as A) It saves us money B) Guaranteed Spots C) Trying to be organized for once. Ive been in contact with the organizers and we are going to need at least six cars, so I guess we will chose the best ones. Now its not up to me to chose which cars are entered, or which are 'Show Quality' but you would hope that most people would know if there car would be worthy or not. But there are a few cars that would I would hope would enter. *Looks at Coran and MR VLT* We are going to have things like, the Banner sent down etc, might make shirts or something similar again. And try and make our stand look pretty spiffy . If you are interested, let me know, I will put the confirmed cars on the list when you know. I will sort out all the entry forms etc, so no need to worry about that, and once we have the confirmed cars, and numbers I will work out the money. Alright guys, due to the major Generousity of Steve (SirGeo) it is now cheaper for members to enter. He is offering us, $20 for the gold members that enter. $10 for the normal members that enter. $0 for non-members because they are tight arses. So basically your membership money back. Only requirement is that they have a CT sticker on there car, CT will provide one if they don’t have one. And CT will hold it’s own comp and award $50 to the best car in the CT display (voted by maybe SirGeo and the rest of the members, so we will need plenty of pics). So that now mean's for anyone that is currently a member, they will be getting a fair portion off the entering fee. And, if you arent a member. Now is the time to do it, and support the site. I have now created a second Bank account from my own which will be taking deposits down for Auto Salon. Basically it will be a 50% non refundable deposit. The only time it will be refundable is if your car is not accepted by AutoSalon, CT's Admin and Mods, or an issue on my behalf. It will not be refunded if you pull out etc. Unless under strict circumstance's at my own disclosure. Am interested. Not a definate tho cause want more info. What is the cost to show the car? At least 6...whats the maximum number? What can be organised to rope off the cars? Is over 2 days so your car is there for the sat and sunday on display. (presuming car cant be moved/taken home for the weekend) Some shows have a set up day on the friday so is this the case? (making it a 3 day event)

Yes, Set up on friday. Will find out about the Sat/Sunday thing. Cost will really be determined once we have exact numbers etc Steve. I dont believe there is a Maximum stated number, within reason. We will organize all the roping off etc man.

If we enter now $100. For Private its $120. If we wait a little while to enter, it goes up to $240

If you get this off the ground, CT will help out financially.

Depends what ur entering for. If your entering to show ur car and win a trophy then yea ur paints not up to scratch. If your entering to put on a Calais Turbo display to advertise the site. To sit around and have a good laff with ya mates during the day. Have a look at a few other cars at the show. Have your picture taken with your car and some hot promo chicks.Basically to have a great weekend. Then yea your paint IS up to scratch. My car isnt up to scrach as a stand alone trophy winning car. Ive never won a trophy. But as a good looking display car... thats a different story.And i now which of the 2 above options i wanna go for.

I might be keen but like i said to you earlier matt and like gav has said the paint work and body on my car isn't the greatest. That and coz its held on a weekend it might be hard for me without my car.

when i think of autosalon i think of riced up everythings, with flashy paint, decals, and everything, vl's would look outta place in my opinion. unless autosalon has changed.

yeah i'm interested. Most people at them show's don't really go over you paint. they all run to see what's under the hood. Are they having a dyno comp matt. If so might go for 30psi this time Nar just jokes might have my ported head and manifolds on buy then anyways Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
