well its kind of hard to take advise from some one that has so many spelling mistakes, i know i cant spell either and have bad gramma, but that might be another resone why they wont take advice off you. and its all the other chicks on here (however i know of two how ever who probly know more then me, not saying that cuz im a guy but cuz i am an auto elec) that are so dumb and know nothing about cars, like is it bad if i drive around with no springs, and i dont know what tyres pressures are...

I agree, try and articulate your sentences a little more, take time out to read your post and edit it before hitting the submit button. This is a forum, not SMS, so there is no real reason to have to shorten every word possible. Split your points into paragraphs as well for easy reading. Obviously everyone will have little mistakes, but if you can generally post well written and thought out replies, people tend to take you a lot more seriously. Also, swearing, and going off at people is what causes arguments to become heated, if you want to counter someone elses point, quote it and reply with your reasons and proof (afterall this is a discussion forum where people have varied opinions). Calling someone a ****head and using annoying 'SMS slang' when it is not needed does nothing to prove your points, and degrades the validity of your post even more.... I agree with marmo in regards to the above quote. It is those females who only buy VLCT's to drive around in to look good in and get attention off guys that give other females a bad name and the reason why so many guys dont take females seriously. Those 2 particular girls dont have any knowledge or even interest in mechanics, just in the car scene for the attention factor There is another one who didnt even know how to do up a clamp when her cooler pipe blew off Not that that is a bad thing, but the fact that she doesnt want to learn is the bad thing, all she cares about is dropping coolers and getting looks off guys. And who do they call when they have a problem with their car? Their bf, or they use some other random to fix it for them cos they dont know anything about cars apart from they go, stop and turn, oh and "drop coolers" lmao. I think one of the biggest things is when guys judge someone on how they look. I know a fair few attractive girls who know their stuff with cars. If you saw me at a club or whatever, i take care of myself and dont look like a complete bush pig when im not covered in grease (although you wouldnt want to see me when i am!).. not all females who dont look like bu'tch bush pigs are unintelligent with cars, take Jet_Girl for example, she built a close to 400rwkw RB30ET by herself and she is very good looking. Then again there is so many barbies that drive around in their bf's cars trying to take credit for his work or buy their own "pretty" cars like those in the first paragraph, you really don't have to wonder where the generalisation comes from! I understand your frustration but abusing people wont get you anywhere. I have grown up around cars and learnt from a young age as there is 5 mechanics in my family, i have loved mechanics for god knows how long. When i first joined this site not many guys wanted to listen to me, but if you prove yourself and your knowledge you will be right. People that dont know me are suprised when they find out i have built 3 calais turbos, done engine and box transplants and cooler kits myself and fixed many problems with mates cars, without the help of anyone else or workshops. People who dont know me are also suprised when they find out i have worked at holden and am in the middle of a mechanics apprenticeship. The most golden thing was one night i was at a servo and a guy in a vlt was broken down, he had no idea what was going on "it just stopped" he said, i went up to him and asked if he wanted me to have a look and he said nah you wouldnt know (lol), so i pulled out my test light and started checking fuses and checked for spark, which was fine, after a few more checks i found a terminal had popped off the fuel pump. He had his battery in the boot so to get him home i just ran 12v from the battery to the pump. The next day i came over and fixed it for him.. His mates were there and were so suprised and so was he (sound familiar, Jason? ).. I dont expect people to just give me respect straight away, you have to prove yourself first.. Now i know i still have a lot to learn and i love listening to people who know more than me, i dont think i know everything unlike some, and i know for a fact i know a lot more than a lot of the guys on here.. Those girls that have nice cars that they got their bf's to build or they bought already built, who are only in it for the attention factor are normally the ones who give you dirty looks when you drive past them in your own car ha ha ha.. When i see a girl in a nice car i always wave and smile, yet i cop so many dirties lol you know that they are the ones in the car scene for the wrong reasons. It isnt a competition. mzvrss* i think you are tripping….. we all know and respect allot of girls that know allot about cars, also there are some very high profile users on here that I’d say 99% of the people do not realize they are women.. I for one will bow down to Miz_VL_Turbo when it comes to certain VL knowledge. You seem to be trying to make a point that you are a girl and want people to “respect” you for it.. well respect isn’t given. It’s earned. As others have said your writing skills seem a bit off which isn’t helping your cause, take the extra minute to write things up properly and don’t be so quick to jump down someone throat if they disagree with you. I’d say this forum is one of the better sites that respects you no matter what gender you are, yes, females might not be considered as highly in the car scene, but that seems to be changing over the past few years and I can see them participating allot more in the future.
