yes turbo are 3 core and n/a are 2 core. i have a converted n/a and the n/a radiator shat itself after 6 months... put a vlturbo one in it and it runs HEAPS cooler so yeah dont put an n/a one on a turbo..

N/A's also came with 3 core radiators. Models with air con had 3 cores.

holden in there wisdom did some strange things when it came to rads in the vl. all v8s got the 3 row. all turbos got the 3 row. they mixed and matched between 2 rows in the n/a range no matter if it was manual had a/c etc. generally tho th eonly 2 row was supposed not be the non a/c model

The only prob with na radiator is no threaded hole for coolant level sensor, not that it will stop you from driving the car of course. same prob if you buy another radiator, no-one seems to have them with the sensor. as for cost, it seems to be much cheaper to buy one outright as against getting your old one re-cored, $375 v $440 [perth]
