if you cant turn it over by hand... Yep its gone.. only way to fix it is new rings and a hone. If its bad a bore and maybe new pistons+rings, depends how bad.

It couldn't be that cheap though I expect. You could maybe pull the sump off and investigate (looking at and checking for play) all the bearings, that worked for the landy (big end #4 rorted). For all you know (I wouldn't) you may be able to see if there is piston play and ascertain which piston is seized if its rings? Cheers. Hope that helps.

A way to possibly unseize a seized motor is to pull the plugs out, spray heaps of WD40 down the plug holes, tow the car to the top of a hill or get someone to tow you around and pop the clutch out as your moving (asuming its a manual) this should turn the motor over... We did this effectively on one of my old Dattos that had swallowed some sand (due to me paddock bashing with no air filter) and resulted in it seizing completely... We managed to unseize it by doing the above technique but reckon it cracked the rings in doing so and it was as smokey as a mofo......lol.

If the engine is properly seized however that wont work, if it magically comes unstuck the engine will still be wrecked anyways..... lol, wd-40.

wouldnt wd40 seize it up even more as it breaks down oil dusnt it and removed the lubrication?

A motor siezes for different reasons, but mainly lack of oil/over heating, causing serious warping and expansion issues. Wd-4- isnt gonna do shi-t

Trust me this motor was so seized that when we first towed it with the plugs in and no WD, I was popping the clutch out and the back wheels were dragging because the motor was totally locked up..... We took plugs out and sprayed the WD (its a penetrating lubricant not just a water dispersant) took it to the top of my street, roled it down the hill and popped clutch and it came unstuck immediately (or 'magically' as airbagsVL ut it, lol)....but yes as has been said due to the overheating issues etc there was some serious damage done obviously....still funny though.
