Hey fellas I know this is the general section but a lot of the people who could help me out probably aren't browsing through the brake section every day and I feel everyone could benefit from some info in this section about the options available...So please mods if you could find it in your hearts to keep this open it'd be very much apreciated ! Now, I need new brakes and after having done a few searches there really isn't a lot of handy info... What are your opinions on the options available including import brakes (Nissan 4 spot etc) and the usual VT upgrade...I've been looking into the PBR kits ( http://www.pbrperformance.com.au/performance.htm ) but it isn't clear whether there is one suitable for the VL, or is it that I would just buy the VR-VS kit and then buy the adapter hubs from someone to make them suit ? I would like 330mm rotors...I'm guessing this is going to start to be rediculous $$$ for what I'm getting...Essentially VT brakes shiny red calipers with "PBR" written on them and slightly larger rotors haha Is CHAMRA1 still doing the kits because I couldn't find him in the advertisers section and are 330mm kits available ? Basically what are the best brake options for $1500 max for the whole job, installing them myself... ? Cheers ! Jay Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

VT brake upgrade is great and do a great job, ive done it to my vl bt1 and my vn ss, the bt1 has the vt brakes back and front and the vn ss has the brakes on the front only.. Buy the vt twin-piston's and get the hubs and lines for it, they are pretty easi to fit even if u have no clue and rotor size is optional i could of gone alot bigger then i did but went for just basic.. for tha $1500 price range you could do the vt upgrade no problems with disc's/hubs etc. There was a brake race package available when i was looking for mine 330mm, cant have nothing less then 17'' on the car, full kit calipers/brakes lines/pads.. $990-$1100 awesome pack came with everything what i went for.. 295mm drilled & slotted $95 Hubs $119 Brake Lines, not exactly sure bout around $60-80 Brake Pads $80 VT twin-piston calipers x 2 $250 - i got mine for free so that price might not be exact either.. The Nissan 4 spots are a great upgrade also ive been told but dunno many with them i know alot more stick with the VT Upgrade Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

If you are going to do it, do it properly and go with a Nissan 4 spot upgrade with the VT rotors. It doesn't cost too much more than the VT upgrade and works 100 times better. You'll also have a much nicer pedal feel.
