Hey guys
Just a quick query which i could not find when i searched.
With my rocker cover my first breather that goes into the inlet manifold i have the pipe connected. However my rear pipe that goes through to the turbo there is no pipe and im venting STRAIGHT to atmostphere no catch can no nothing. Anyway i have better things to spend my money on than catch cans. I was thinking are the little filters you see that sit on top of the breather will work on a VL?? I really need help with this as i just put on my car a freshly painted cover so i don't want oil comming out. DO the filters stop all the oil comming out? I only want to block up the rear with the filter by the way and leave the frount still going to the inlet.
Thanks.

becides the breather being illegal (plain as day to any cop who pops your bonnet) it would be easier just to have a sneaky catchcan installed.
You can have your catch can appeared to have not been vented with the use of misleading plumbing.

These breathers can be dangerous, if enough oil comes out of them breathers it can go on the extractors = Engine bay fire, Oil catch can safest way..

i was in this same situation...
im getting a custom catch can made up, but until then, ive put a breather on the rocker cover... nothing has come out, and it still looks as new... so i cant see a problem with it...

You may want to put a filter/breather on the end of that rear line as from my understanding, when you are off boost the engine is in vacuum. This means that the pvc valve is open which lets the front breather line to vent into the inlet manifold (and then burnt in combustion chamber). While the front hose is venting under suction (off boost), the rear hose is sucking in air to replace the gasses vented by the front hose (a vacuum effect if you will). Now if you just have an open end on the rear hose, it is going to suck in unfiltered air which may contain dust ect... They plum it before the turbo so that it is filted by the air filter.
It probably isn't going to do much for a short while, but it might be wise to fix it sooner rather than later, or at least put a filter of some sort on the end.

Yeah use catch can, because if you have blow by you will dirty engine bay amongst other things like someone mentioned getting an engine fire causing more grief!
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
