Hey, been reading through the forums lately and their has been quite alot of chat about gas, and its many benifits (mainly $20 per tank ).
Just wondering if you really need the twin converters? Mines n/a so i wouldnt see it using that much fuel that twin converters would have any advantage.
Also i own a HQ pannel van (red 186 single carb engine) which has been fitted with lpg for quite sometime and was wondering if it was still possible to use the gas shutoff valve and maybe the converter to save a few dollars here and there.
These two parts still work perfectly fine, but do they need to be tested? they are more than 10 years old btw (nearly 15 actually).
Do the converters have to be specifically designed for either a efi or carby engine?
Do gas engines need a computer control modulal of some sort to control the gas flow entering the engine?, or is it done through the gas throttel body itself??
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
no, you dont need the second converter.....
the thing with gas, i was running a 5 liter falcon on gas, and my vl is on petrol, and the vl is cheaper to run than the falcon!
it may only cost 20 bux to fill up, but you fill up more often....
a GRA B2 converter is rated upto 200 or so rwkw, so i dont really think you would need another one, plus, its more than just bolt on 2 converters, you need a gas tank that can handle twin lines, you need twin lines from the tank upto the 2 converters, and then to the 2 throttle body's or carbs, whatever you use
Ok i just got a quote for $800 to have the kit fitted to the vehicle? This seems quite obsered. Im very mechanicaly minded so im just wondering exactly how much of the install needs to be carried out by a licenced installer??
