i think that someone doing an NA and getting faster would say 'mmm turbo' rather than waste more money on NA

umm.. i dont know.. i have spent alot but could do it again very very fast and very cheap. From what i know today i could make another VL run faster then mine within 2 days. thats doing the intercooler piping myself and all.

would make a difference to if they were using slicks and a spool too. What are we talking full street setup???? ie (lsd, 17's) or street/drag setup (spool, 15" on 22psi).

i dont think it would as much of a difference as most n/a's (except the extreme ones) are not really going to struggle with traction. A good lsd and street tyres should be fine?

Im sure some guy from the R31 Skyline Club ran a low 13 high 12 in a RB30E R31. I had a argument on StreetCommodores about this exact topic saying I would spend money on my N/A too make it quick. If you have a quick N/A and it only gets to a 14 second pass and you spend 1000s of dollars on it who cares, theres no assistance from a Turbo so it makes it more rewarding. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I don't see how building a 14 sec n/a is rewarding, sure its a challenge, so is trying to build a reliable 12 sec street vl turbo and running it at our age, why not do that? To be different you say? If you wanted to be different why buy a vl? Out of the 2 (14 sec n/a or 12 sec turbo) i sure as hell know which one is going to be more fun and which will give a whole lot more back on resale. Power is power in the end, who cares how you get it, as long as it burys you in the seat enough to put a smile on your face then nothing else matters. All i know is a 14 sec n/a would never do that for me, nor most people on this forums. I'l keep on trudging on trying to build my streeter thankyou. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

not if he did the twin throttles and removed the head for porting himself. How much porting, that is the question as that is a pretty impressive time considering...
