I just got a RB25DET gearbox for my VL Turbo Calais, just want to know what is the best clucth to put on it as it will be putting out a bit of power in the near future. Anyone had dealings with clutches wat wrks and wat doesnt etc, any help great, also any one got a VL boss kit for momo wheel.

the turbo flywheel/clutch is slightly larger than the skyline/na vl flywheel clutch.
but you can get better clutches for the smaller setup because the skyline aftermarket is much bigger than the vl turbo aftermarket.
stick with the smaller setup

have you changed the flywheel to the 9.5"? or did it come with the gearbox?
to handle some big hp(400+) applications get a multiplate clutch

hey,
Autoclutch in morningside road (the road beside st lukes mall)
they are very onto it, they have the VLT - 10" or skyline - 9.5" clutches in stock, 4,5,6 puck, solid or HD sprung centres, HD covers the lot.
brothers VLT has the 10" 6 puck sprung centre one with HD cover, drives very nice, but does 2nd gear lauches np. (r33 box)
expect to pay $650 - $900 for everything.

The clutch that Brent is talking about is the same as what i put into my VL, it is very good and I have not had it slip yet, cost $1090.00 that included machining the flywheel also.
