Anyone know who supplies/stocks the rectangular-metal turbo to manifold gasket? Ive tried Holden and its obsolete, Nissan dont have a part number for it...Motor Traders also obsolete and no old stock available....Ive also tried numerous other Spare parts outlets with no luck...shouldnt be this hard to find surely? Whos ***n got em? I need one ASAP, my existing gasket is ok but im fitting 35/40 and wanna do it all now while its all off.... Cheers. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cheers, and cheers for the PM JNRGMH but I just found one, its $55!, Expensive ****er! Its a genuine Nissan gasket, might just bite the bullet and buy it and get this thing happening...

Guys if you want to do this cheap then goto Repco or Bursons and ask for a sheet of exhaust manifold gasket (metallic with coating) approx $15 500mm by 150mm or so, then you can make little turbo gaskets till your hearts content! is also good for the dump pipe gasket (triangular shape). You can juz cut it out with scissors. Cheers

Thanks man. Has anyone done this because the Gasket is actually metal not just coated and would be subject to a lot of heat...

yeah nissan have them and im pretty sure they are the same as the r32 ones, so ask for one of them if you cant find rb30 ones. mine was 35 bucks, still a little steep i thought. sorry to go off topic, but do you need to replace that thin metal sheet with the tabs which prevent the nuts from loosening when you change the gasket?

I don't reckon you do, mine has been going fine for almost two years now without the tabs.

you dont need the tabs. and a gt35 turbo does not need the split pulse arrangement that the factory turbo gasket has. just get a proper turbo gasket from a turbo shop for $15

Change the tabs and use OEM studs and nuts if they need changing. Reason why the tabs are there is so that the nuts do not vibrate loose. I had a customer come in with no tabs and the wrong nuts - result.... 1 nut fell off, other 3 were loose and gasket burnt through. You do not need the tabs IF your using copper exhaust nuts as they bite into the thread ensuring that it locks. Factory RB30ET RB20DET and RB25DET does not have a split pulse gasket - just a stock T3 Flange gasket.. The reason why the stock VL manifold has that rib in the middle is not for spit pulse but to strengthen that area under intense heat and to make up for the crap collector design by crudely diverting the exhaust gases to the flange.

just make sure both surfaces are faced and use ultra copper , same with dumppipe to housing. i havent used the metal gasket since back in the old t3 days , never had problems.
