Hi all, I realise there's a For Sale section but as this is in Auck, NZ have decided posting it in the NZ section. Hope nobody minds. Anyway I have reached the tough decision to sell my VL-T and thought I'd advertise it here first to see if anyone would be interested as I'd like to think it went to someone that was an active enthusiast. 1988 VL Executive Turbo (RB30ET, etc etc - I'm sure you all know deal ) 254,xxx kms. First Reg'd 22/04/88. 5 owners but the last 3 owners all enthusiasts and has only done about 4000kms since March 2003. White with blue interior 15" VP SS rims and ****ty tyres (could do with something nicer!!) Whiteline suspension (Shocks, springs, swaybars) Steelie Gears LSD (not sure on ratio but is cruisy) Skyline 5spd (nice and smooth through the gears) Uprated brake pads (not sure of type but stops well) and Dot5.1 fluid Recently serviced (about 1500kms ago) using all new plugs, leads, Castrol Formula R 10/60, etc Dynatron Immobiliser Aside from that the car is essentially standard - stock boost, airbox, exhaust etc. Runs fantastically, pulls strong and is a seriously tonnes of fun! Also never given me any issues. Has run a 15.5 @ 150 km/h which I thought was OK for an essentially stock VL-T given the cruisy diff ratio and the ****ty tires - and very ordinary driver Condition is reasonable, a little rough around the edges (250kms and 18 yrs old will do that), a little bit of rust around the rear window but otherwise remarkaly rust free. Of course I think in general it's a little gem and it must be hard to find a relatively unmolested VL-T in NZ??? If you're interested give me a call or text - Phil, 021 717 199 Thanks for reading! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Still haven't had a chance to get any pics, but will work on that tomorrow. It's a good car, not mint but I'd say pretty good for it's age. Had a look at it today and probably the worst aspect of the car is the rear arches were rolled by the previous owner (as they were using some 8" rims with quite a bit of offset) and the paint is a bit untidy. I think the car would suit someone wanting a quick streeter you don't have to worry too much about. Or for drags maybe as I understand the Exec is the lightest VL version we got at approx 1350 kg? Main reason I'm selling is I've got a couple of other projects on the go but recently lost my storage/work space and don't like thinking of the VL living outside all the time. It's a hard decision as I bought it on whim and never really thought I'd end up liking it as much as I do! (I farkin love it - even in it's current state it's tonnes of fun) But last in, first off...........

Hi everyone. Just in case anyone's interested the add is now on TradeMe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...n-49231026.htm (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Holden/auction-49231026.htm) After feedback from a few of the CT team I've set what I feel is a pretty realistic reserve (sorry guys - don't want to give it away but it's a lot cheaper than some of the other examples on there at the moment). I'll be sad to see the old girl go but if I can't get the reserve price I'll prob try and find some storage for it and re-visit it as a project in a year or two. Cheers Phil

Just a quick update. The car is sold and gone to the Sth Island. Sad to see it go but the new owner is very keen so it has gone to a good home and sure to be out and about in the Chch area. Cheers
