As I said I've installed my mini-spool, and ouch!! this thing is axle tramping like crazy. Any of you lads that are running mini-spools having this problem? How do you get around it? With my LSD in it's smooth as silk which I put down to the fact that it spins one wheel more than the other. Please help, it feels like crap Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Cool, I'll experiment. I don't understand how people would drive these things as a daily. I just drove it through the carpark at the shopping centre and it's not easy. Lucky I can swap it back to LSD when ever I want.

Do it now, minispools are uncomfortable and snap axles.

i hate hearing stories like this... i'm putting a minispool in mine and have no idea what to expect. i just decided anything would be better than the old single legger.. it was just stupid, even with only 230rwhp.. and i'm expecting quite a bit more from my new combo.

Lockers are not for the street. Stick with a properly built LSD. Good shocks/springs combination cause help with your axle tramp. Tyres also.

But the borgy lsd's are crap!!!, i must admit though i have thought about trying one again, tyres are only lasting 3mnths of daily driving with no abuse at all, but it is soon to be a weekend car anyways cheers darren

drive them properly and youll be fine, dont cut corners sharp, i drove my car with a minispool in it as a daily for a year and that was with IRS - which means a ****load more skiping and noises comin from the back. people who test drove my car whinged about it as soon as we did one corner though, somepeople can put up with it others cant. i found it better to spend 90 bucks on a spool rather than rebuilding a LSD every 5 months. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I dont think the borg warners are too bad as an LSD. Ive had one in my car for a year, and the previous owner had it for a few years before that. I only drive it once a week but it gets a caining. Havnt done any huge skids though. Its a real tight 4.11 lsd... strong too as its holding around 230rwkw.

mmm every car i have had has had a locker, i suppose i just rather know what my car does than have an open wheeler or a lsd,

I don't mind my locker. If I didn't get defected for it then It would stay in there. I have used it for 1 year as a daily driver. I personally found that it ended up costing me MORE in the long run though. The spool was $240 installed. Broke 1 axel. Flogged out ALL the bushes in the rear end. Set of tyres every month. Gearbox (Partly contributed to the spool) Cops heard the car hopping around a corner and I now have 2 pages of defects. I LOVED the spool though. Far more predictable than anything else you can put in a diff. I'll give you my final verdict when I get my car back on the road with an LSD.
