These can be a real Pain ,,,, if you are using a Pin removal tool and WD40 or something similar and it won't budge , then it could be a pin that has got a kink or worn to one side , then it will get stuck as it will hit part of the hinge when you are trying to drive it out , you may need to use heat on it and see if you can look through the pin to see if it is bent , I've got the same problem with a VL SW , got the top and bottom part of the pin out of the body hinge, but the centre of the Pin is still stuck in the door hinge , will soak this and drive it out with a long punch from the top , but then the bottom pin would only move part of the way before getting stuck as well , the pin was kinked ...I may need to break the pin to remove this one , will let you know how I got on , best advise is to remove the Pins before you really need to , and keep then lubed .

This is a hinge Pin remover , there is a solid one for removing solid pins (Fords etc) but this one is for hollow pins , three different sizes , you unscrew and insert the correct size shaft through the pin and reconnect it once through , remove the bottom pin from the top by having the larger end to the top (this is where the tool slides onto) then using a small hammer hit the tool up , you will need to use lube WD40 etc to help the process , if you are lucky the pin will come out quite easily , remember to support the door as you are doing this .

Great job isn't it! Done it on one of my vls, tops are easy, bottom takes more time and patience which I dont have!
Orange_VL, Aren't you a spray painter, if so surely ppl at your work could have done it for you with their eyes closed?
