this is just some pics of my vl 5 speed , sort of a projct car , cant exactly afford to do a turbo conversion but i am looking to do some minor work to it to make it a little faster , just like throttle body and cam , extractors ext. tell me what you guys think of it plz... and what little things i should do to it, its also getting lowered and darker window tint very shorlty. Also its a converted 5 spd , so it still has the auto diff which is good for winding out in the gears even tho its only a 15-16 sec car which beats vn's and others. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

lol yea thats the one mate, good for a bit of fun and even more fun for getting some air. just looking for an apprenticeship at the moment one i get a job ill be working on my car strait away -lower with king springs super lows -paint, same colour with black window surrounds and black garnish between tail lights -possibly darker tail lights -window tint - ambulence dark -then i can start working on performance wise parts, whats cheapest and easiest to start off with ?? -exhaust and extractors , currently has 2 1/2 inch but i want pacemaker extractors and 2 1/2 inch all the way through -cold air intake, and possible 9-10mm leads -possibly a performance chip then get some cam work done... whats some other things??

Looks tidy mate. Be careful how dark you go with your window tint as there is a limit on how dark you can go before you cop a fine and a canary. Automatic and manuals had the same diff ratio, so effectivley same diff. Definatley do the window surrounds in black, will break up the colour a bit better. Also the silver strip on the lower section of the car, get it repainted up to the top of the door moulds.

Mate if you can afford cam + extractors then you can afford a VLT conversion. As long as you do the work yourself and shop around for parts then you should be able to get away with a cheap conversion for around $1000. There are lots of us QLD boys who are willing to help you if you get stuck. Other than that dump it on it's guts and put some nice silver chasers on it and it will be a tuff looking VL.
