I went to check out a VP Calais' that was for sale today, privately... He was a very honest bloke, and he said it was a great car, inside and out..but is a real petrol guzzler.. Is this true? Thanks everyone

Shoudn't be really, everyone's opinion of a 'petrol guzzler' is different and it depends on how you drive it too. What is the fuel consumption like? It's the 6 yeah? An 8 will use a lot of petrol because it's 5L, but I assume you're talking about the 6.

i reckon should be worst case scenario 14/100 anymore then there might be somethng wrong. i think they are 3,8 6 cyl so if you keep it under 3000rpm it will still accelarate pretty quickly and give you good economy. but this is if and only if you resist the urge to give it a boot fairly often keep it under 2500 rpm and you should be getting atleast 500 km from a tank

Thanks guys, yeah its a 6 cyl 3.8.. Does anybody know the rough estimate cost to fill up the tank at about $1.17 per litre? Thanks

WELL the tank should hold between 60-65 litres if it like that from factory. probably if the fuel light is on and you are on empty should cost around 70-75 bucks for a full tank. and i mean full to the brim. but that is if the fuel warning light is on and you want a very very full tank. it should be around the $50 mark if you fill her up from about 1/4 tank left.

yeh costs bout 80bucks to fill a vp and if u drive lightly, you can suck 500kms outta the tank. Otherwise you get about 350-400 Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
