hey, ive had this 3inch dump/front pipe laying round for a while, now ive got enough money to do the whole exhaust (3inch mandrel, h/flow cat etc) i jacked the car up to have a look at the difference between the 3inch dump/front pipe and the stock dump/front pipe, though its not as simple of a bolt up as it thought ive currently got a t3 turbo how will the exhaust place go about doin this? im considering buying a hybrid t3/ t4 of a mate in a few months, how will this bolt up? any suggestions are apreciated thanks, mat heres some pics of my new one and hers a pic of where the standard dump pipe bots onto the turbo (pic taken form underneath the car) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That is not a dump pipe for starters, It is a front pipe.

first post edited this pipe i got will not use the standard dump pipe......it looks like it goes straight to the turbo but the stud pattern is only a 3bolt am i better off getting a 3inch front pipe and using the standard dump pipe instead of using the 3inch front/dump pipe shown? will there be any difference in note/performance? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Are you sure thats for a vlt? V-band use's a clamp type flange instead of bolts. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You can use that dump/front pipe you already have...the exhaust shop can just chop that 3 bolt flange off, they'll then get your stock dump pipe and chop off the flange section (where it bolts to the turbo) and weld that to the dump pipe. Bit of love with the die grinder to open it all up nicely and clean up all the welds and dags to get it flowing... You have to retain the first section of the original dump (the dump pipe flange) if you are keeping the stock turbo because of the design of the wastegate on the VL T3s (the wastegate flap/tag is in that flange section). Find an exhaust shop thats done it before and you'll have no hassles but you can definately use what you have there as long as it is to suit VL as in how far the dump drops down before it enters under the car etc.
