Hey guys, i'm replacing my brake pads for a r.w.c. I jacked the car up, undid the caliper housing from the anchor plate, replaced the pads, put the caliper housing back on and did it up nice and tight to the anchor place (with the aid of a breaker bar) did this on both sides and put the car back down. Simple right?? well no, i decided i'd have a looksee in my gregories to make sure i did everything right, and it says to replace the self-locking bolts retaining the caliper housing to the anchor plate guide pins. Now sh*t, i havn't done that, they looked like god-damn normal every day bolts to me, they went back in fine, did up fine and tightened fine, like a bolt does right??!!... Now my question is, do they really need replacing?? They seem to have gone back together perfectly fine, but now i'm too paranoid to drive it to bed the pads in and its at the back of the driveway so i can't get any other cars out and its raining so i can't ride to go get the bolts... HELP GUYS N GIRLS!!! PLEASE!!! ush

thay only say this to cover there own ass just tighten them alittle more than normal (dont snap the bolts) should be fine. they are talking about the bolt that goes in to the slide pin and not the 2 that hold the caliper on to the diff of strut depinding on front or rear
