hey guys, recently bought two thermo fans and installed them, but cant work out the thermostats. iv got them wired up correctly, but the thermostats arent cutting in our out. they got a length of solder type metal (im guessing this is the 'sensor') but is this a thermocouple or something different? do i wrap this wire around a heat source, or just put the end near a heat source? the thermostats have two adjusments, one main one, and one little screw just for that bit extra. any one know and can help me out?

the probes go in the radiator hose man

the wire/probe, has to go into the radiator as said above. undo the upper hose clamp on the radiator, remove the hose, put the wire/probe into it, then push the hose back onto the radiator with the other end of the probe thats sticking out going to the thermostat box itself. retighten hose clamp. and set your cut in/out temps to suit. but yeah, you have to have the probe/wire in the coolant for it to work correctly.
