Monsta, Patinum, Rb30power, Duz... one of you will know this. I need to know which wires are which going to the TPS on the R33s. There are three wires- two green with a stripe, and one just green. Or alternatively just top to bottom on the throttle body. Anyway I need to know which one is power, which one is 0V and which one is signal. I can take a guess but yeah. Let me know! thanks

my diagram sez: Yellow/Black = power? Red/Blue = signal Black/blue = ground but these will be the wire colours after the plug, on the loom itself. see where they match up, if you've got a loom having fun with the wiring yet? Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The wires coming to my TPS plug (ie the loom wires) are: Green Green/Black stripe Green/red stripe I am pretty close to wiring it up as per the colours but I want confirmation.

Have you got the whole loom there to work with? On my RB20 loom I figured it out using the ECU connector and a multimeter. ie put the meter into continuity test and checked the TPS terminals against the relevant ECU pins.

Sorry luke, but those colours don't match up with my loom or wiring diagrams. Stocky is spot on. yell/black = +5v red/blue = signal black/blue = gnd

Pin 1 on the TPS is +5V constant power from ecu pin 48 Pin 2 on the TPS is 0-5V output signal (0.5V idle -> 4.5V+ full throttle) to ecu pin 38 Pin 3 on the TPS is earth and connected to ecu pin 30 (pin 30 is also the earth for coolant temp sensor) As for colour ill check a bit later, see whats what.

Sorry guys but nothing is verifying what I have here. I am very tempted to wire it up with the red power, black 0V and green signal. But that means from top to bottom it goes Signal-power-earth. Mick that diagram has the plug upside down? My locators for the plug are on the left looking at the sensor not the right? I don't think there are any other 3-pin plugs of this type on the motor.

Just looking at the looms i have (both series 2 i believe) they have the colour coding the other guys have mentioned above. Here are some pics. It is the series 2 throttle body and switch setup. On the series 1 rb25 it had just one connector on the throttlebody and the other connector just hanging by wires, much the same as the rb30 auto throttle body does. The brown plug is the throttle sensor. The grey plug in the third pic is the throttle switch, which is used on auto trannies only. You must not have the RB25 loom, either way i would just make sure the pins go to the correct pin on the ecu plug and it will work fine. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have an Rb20 loom. I have found my probelm! Hooray! By some bad advice* I cut the flying wires off thinking they were the close switch. However the flying wires are the TPS resistor and the fixed plug (which is really nice quality and looks more important than the hanging garbage) is the on off switch. Doh! So I have now got an RB30 one and am using just the flying wires and you'll be happy to know that they work properly when tested with a multi-meter. Mick- my switch is like an Rb30 one not the one in the pic above. Anyway sorry for wasting everyone's time. All is good. * Grant is a d1ck head
