I nailed it in first snapped into second then nothing just revs. Now won't get any gear, it goes close but won't engage, MX7 box. I'm thinking its somwhere in the selector area (forks, shift lever, shift rods etc.) Anyone had this, looking for specifics, I'll be looking closer tommorow arvo and Sat, probably have to drop box out and investigate. Any help appreciated.

I had the same prob with my MF5 the other day, couldnt get it into 4th. Could get the shifter about halfway through and if I let the clutch out it would grind. Then I had trouble getting into 3rd, and really stiff going across to 5th. Now its all back to normal again, weird!

yeah, i had a simmilar problem, the release bearing shat itself, so i replaced it but that was all my fault and i doubt thats the problem with yours. it sounds like a master cylinder issue (fluid?) or a broken or damaged selector fork. just get under the car and im sure you will figure it out pretty soon.

did the same thing after getting my clutch done, snapped second then nothing but the pedal went loose as a $2 hooker. the prics put the fork on the wrong way around and it busted out, and because the fork jamed the slave cylinder seal busted.

Nah its not in the clutch region. I found a brocken piece of metal about 5mmx10mm on the drain plug. I'm taking the box out and opening it up tommorow.

Opened up the box found the shift lug assembly brocken, inner and outer part. All the gears etc. are in excellent condition. Does anyone know where I might be able to get these components?
