This engine and gearbox would be perfect to drop into any VL or Skyline or anything really, has heaps of potential and would handle some serious power. Extremeley Regretful sale, had big plans for this engine and my VL however due to university commitments and time restraints I have had to throw in the towel and this beauty will never get to see my engine bay. I personally helped pull this engine out of the car that it came from and took extra care making sure everything was stayed all there with it, so as it would be a straight drop in, which anyone could do or any mechanic could do for very cheap. Just bolt a turbo upto it and its ready to go. For a gearbox like that, without a shifter, tailshaft, crossmember, speedo drive, and just a heavy duty clutch you'd be lucky to get a $1000 for it. Rebuilt or not. Good luck with the sale. I'm sure someone will grab the both of them.

Yes 100% definetly genuine turbo motor rebuilt, also MOREPSI why bother posting... FOR your information it does come with a Speedo cable with 90degree speedo drive, also comes with the crossmember and im getting a shifter from the wreckers for it, we forgot to take it off before we started pulling the engine out and it was too difficult to get out under the firewall so we had to chop it....anyway the only thing it doesnt have is a tailshaft which all cars have anyway so why would you want that? If you have an auto tailshaft just simply get it modded by a tailshaft specialist it only costs $180 to get the tailshaft adjusted, but if you already have manual then who cares... So all those parts added arent anywhere close to $1000 to source anyway.

the tailshaft yoke is pretty hard to find. you can find mf5 tailshafts all the time. i had to get mine off Hardy Spicer.

Don't get all agro at me pal, pull ya head in. Why bother posting? Because I'm deciding between buying a new auto or an MX7. And I was offering friendly advice on what the going rate for an MX7 was. You didn't state in your original post that the gearbox came with all that other gear, even though you wrote " Im trying to cover as many things as i can think of as to save everyone asking loads of questions." Have you tried sourcing the parts to complete the package? a tailshaft will cost you $200 to be rebuilt/balanced etc 90degree speedo drives are rare as and are fetching a pretty penny, crossmembers aren't cheap either, I think you'll find that it racks up pretty quickly when you have to buy parts seperately. Get rid of the attitude or don't post.

how does a motor change make it into an original vl turbo? must be a lot of original brocks , hsv's and gt falcons out there if it only takes a driveline change? anyone got a walkinshaw motor?.......

Bump...Surely someone wants an awesome engine...?? I dont understand the lack of interest? What more do people need to know? This engine is definetly rare to find in this condition and the gearbox... well it has only been driven for 2 weeks and cost $2200 to rebuild and is one of the smoothest boxes i have ever tested, perfect gear changes.

i will give 1k for the manual box?? if not then i will just get a r33 box

yeah just go get a R33 box.. like i said mate, the box just cost $2200, i think i would be getting ripped off pretty badly if i sold it for $1,000. It is complete! only thing it doesnt come with is the pedals. Comes with slave cylinder and master cylinder and everything, speedo cable with right angle drive piece. Mizz VL Turbo - I have got receipts for the box, with warranty, and papers for the engine, but I dont actually have the receipts for the rebuild of the engine, the guy before me had it doen and the engine has been driven for about 1year after full rebuild and has approx <20,000km on it. Hope this helps

would b a lot easier to sell if u had reciets on the engine i 4 one would b pretty interested if u did, i dunno y people don't hang on to reciets like that seems crazy to me..

Yeah well, liek i said it was the owner before me that had it rebuilt... and obviously after the warranty passes.. some people get rid of stuff like that.. From looking at the condition of the engine and having heard it run and driven i can say it has defintely been rebuilt... its like buying a car that claims to have a rebuilt engine... usually if they say it has then 9/10 it actually has. I dont understand why people throw receipts or lose them or whatever either... but truely for the people who are sceptics.. its really your loss if anything, i know that its only my word.. bu ti can assure you this engine is in top nick... saw it driven before it was pulled out of car.. sounded so nice, no knocking noises nothing...! Anyway its your decision... at the end of the day.. even if it wasnt rebuilt its still a VLT engine in excellent condition (thats just for those who dont believe that it is rebuilt, even tho it is)

what goodies are in the block? stock internals? forgies? whats in it?

It has been rebuilt to slightly stronger than VLT stock internals... I know that once the gearbox was rebuilt the owner also had a t3/t4 highflo turbo running on the engine for about 2 weeks and was making 205rwkw on 9si. The engine has also got a slightly bigger cam so i have been told, and it definetly sounded perfect when it was running, no knocking or noises or anything. Very smooth engine and gearbox.
