Hey guys, Seeing as were getting a bit of a bigger SA group here i thought i would get a longer cruise happening, something a little bit different than the old Jetty Road, Anzac, City Cruise which weve all been on about 12,000 times. So i thought plan something which is a bit of a drive. Now i dont want this to become something like the dyno day were there is like 5 seperate threads, and no one knows what is going on, please do not start any other thread, post everything in here. If anyone doesnt like the idea of the barossa pm me and we can think of another area to cruise to. Now as its a bit of a drive we will have a bbq when we get there, and we will sought out an area to do this once we get a bit of interest. Anyone that wants to help with organizing this, your more than welcome to help out organizing routes, maps, and stops. Now as it will be a rather longer drive, I thought i will give everyone a bit of notice, so im thinking the day will be October Monday the 3rd which is a public holiday. The cruise will start somewhere central like Anzac Highway K-mart, but i will organize a few stop offs on the way if people need to catch up, or meet us along the way. The cruise will start around 11am which will give everyone a bit of time to get up, and get over a bit of the sunday night public holiday hangovers. Post up in here if your interested, or if you dont think its a great idea, and have another idea on where to go, but we need something soon, and something a bit bigger. Now of course its a calaisturbo.com.au cruise, but other cars will be welcome, mainly commodores, but theres a few members who dont have commodores, so a few exceptions will be made, but we want a big vl calais turnout. Well i live at smithfield so the barossa is closer to me than the city. Also I used to live at Nuri. My point is if this goes ahead i can help organise routes(that spelling not any other type of spelling :P ) in the barossa. Also u could do the cruise late afternoon. That way u can cruise into the barossa. Have a BBQ then cruise back into and through the city and end it there. I have found in the past if there is a cruise to murray bridge for a BBQ and the cruise ends there. Everyone heads home. But most of those ppl are heading the same direction anyhow. And u southerners :P U think barossa is far , now u know how i feel when u say marion :P

When do you think Tyson then mate, your car has to be there. Thinking before the date. Or after Gazzanats? Only in early stages of planning so all will be adapted for.

Events to take into consideration ,Gazzanats Oct 15 ,Extremem horsepower Oct 29 - 30 , All holden day Nov 27 Sujestions , have 2 meeting spots . Say 1 down south way eg marion, kmart anzac or whereever suitable and then another in the north , holywood sailsbury, munno para shops. Then meet at 1 time at south and meet up at a later time in north.(however long it takes to travel to second meeting spot will decide that time) Save all the northeners (especially the ppl in gawler which is next to the barossa) driving down south just to turn around and drive back 2wards there house. And as stated finish cruise in the city.

What date is the barrossa cruise going to happen n kmart anzac hwy sounds good to me for meeting spot, up 2 u guys i guess.

Sounds like a good idea... barossa, victor where ever. A massive drive like that is alot better then city bay city bay. Also less cops??? And other wankers??? If we can all agree on a date this would be sweet as. Just us guys from here and a few mates... make it big. Calais or no Calais (galants LOL) Matt i will help with any planning if need be... been many years since i helped planned a cruise. Should be good. EVERYONE if you think its a good idea let us know, that way it wont be a waste of time if it turns out no one likes the idea or is willing to come.
