I lost my P's and got the Notice of Disqualification which says I have to hand my licence in within 7 days or I get prosecuted and a $750 fine. The problem is I didn't read that bit when I got it and found out one hour after the Transport Office closed on the seventh day (today). Has any one else done this? And am I stuffed? I will be there when it opens tomorrow morning and hoping like hell they're in a good mood.

thats strange. wen i lost mine the judge told me to keep it for ID. i never had to hand mine in and i got done on my p's

in vic we are supposed to hand it in aswell, but n01 does. i have lost my licence more times than i can count and never handed in my licence and never had a problem. dont stress dude just keep your licence for i.d. or you can go into a police station and say you dropped your wallet somewhere and if vicroads asks for the licence show them the police report Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I went and explained it this morning and they said it didn't count if I appealed so no problem now. Thanks for the answers.

same thing happened to me. i handed it in a day late. nothing was said. just hand it in tomorrow and ull be ok. those fines are if they have to chase u for it. i doubt they're gonna hunt u down over 1 day late. and if they are tight asses about it, say u didnt get the notice until now, or was stayin at a friend's place and got the notice late or some bullsh*t.

I can't remember what happened to my licence... I don't think I handed it in at all... Hmm...I think it got taken off me when I went and got my new photo ID which was months after I appealed and got my licence back? Not sure...
