Hey All!!! how u doin.. my name is.. not important, what is important is your feedback on my 1988 VL Berlina non-turbo.. .. now u might be thinking "why is it that important that he wants my feedback?" and the answer to you my friend is.. .. If i get good feedback i will continue with my conversion to a full rebulid t3 hi-flowed turbo, with a brand new LSD diff, and new trimatic gearbox, andd all that tech stuff ( i aint really good at all that, so stand by, and ill let u know what exactly is hapening when my mechanic writes it down for me ) BUT! If the feedback is not too good, i will just go out and buy a VL BT1.. but i think its no where near as fun What i can tell you, is what i have done so far.. when i bought it it was stock height, Stock stereo, and stock 14 inch hubcaps. basicly all it was, was potential! Since i have had the girl, i have lowered it to a Jimmy can height, i have put a 2 1/2 inch pipe from the cat-back, put a respectable system in it ( Alpine h/d, 2 7x10's in a custom p/s, an earthquake 4ch amp running them, and my 6'' splits in front, 2 Pioneer subs, and an Pioneer Mono block running them) i have put a K & N pod filter, and a nice woodgrain steering wheel. i have bought 16 inch sv5000 rims, but took them off and put 15 inch VY Exec hubs over intercepters (the tyre price was raping me) and i have given her a new paint job, a 2 pac calais off white, over silver trim, it really ahines at night on chapel st. so i would love it if u told me what u think, here are some pics the interior isnt too bad hey? just a stock bay no turbo (yet) thanx for that.. let me know!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

lol thats the first thing I thought of..... But anyway,... dont waste your money on all that nancy boy stereo gear, when its ultimatley just more weight to slow you down.... If you stop doing burnouts (trashing your car) you would find that your tyres would last longer. And eventually loss of license, which is emminent would be avoided. I would recommend just purchasing a BT1 or equivalent as this would save you time and money, however after spending money on a fresh respray you maybe hesitant to do this. My 2c anyway.

Looks nice mate but please loose the K+N sticker that is on the dash. Also I would personally either loose the hub caps and give the chasers a nice spray in silver or get some calais rims. Obviously It's going to be cheaper for you to buy a VLT as opposed to doing the conversion. But you will get much more satisfaction by doing it yourself. Also I would highly advise against paying a mechanic to do the conversion for you which is going to cost you hundreds. There is already more than enough info on this site to do the conversion yourself that is going to save you heaps and also teach you heaps. The only way to learn all the tech stuff if to have a go at it yourself.
