do both wheels spin under light throttle as well as full throttle? ie... does it open wheel when acceleration is minimal? also, is it clicky round corners or noisy? thanks

Had one in my sle a while back. The way they work is they unlock and allow you to single spin when you are not accelerating. So the idea is to roll round corners and not scrub out your tyres. As soon as you accellerate whether light or hard it will lock up hence the name locker. Yes they click and are a bit noisy when they engage. Their real expensive too. Id go a kaaz diff. They work on a different principal which is the harder you accelarate the more they lock up. So you can accelerate round corners lightly and it will offer limited slip. So with this diff you get all the traction of a fully locked diff and you can accelerate round corners without scrubbing out tyres in 5,000 kays. The best of both worlds.

lockers are c*nts of things in daily cars... i've got one in my vlt and it jerks the whole car around if you use the throttle at all around corners. Ya get used to it after a while but it's still difficult, eg if you're rolling slowly around a round about and you want to accelerate out, you can't do it without a big clunk or 5 and if it's wet you'll likely go sideways. They are great for the after-dark activities we tend to get up to tho . If you're off the throttle, as you start to turn you'll feel/hear a clunk, and this will be the diff unlocking, so it's like an open-wheeler, then as soon as you get on the throttle again it will clunk again as it locks back in. The problem is, if you don't give it HEAPS of throttle, it will continue to lock and unlock *clunk jerk clunk jerk* as you go around the corner. I find the only way to corner smoothly is to roll around with fcuk all throttle, or balance a fair bit of throttle with a bit of brakes (to keep it locked up). Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Tempest has one in his VLCT. I get to cain as5 out of it regularly. lol It is great. It does lock on light load. ie on a long sweeping corner it may kick in and out with minimal throttle change. You can feel the car revert to understeer and back again. no biggie but. And yes sometimes they make horrendous noises. Like taking off from lights and the car lets off an almighty bang in the diff. Is all good. A KAAZ ramping LSD is the best. They do not lock completely but they ramp up the break away torque as load increases. By far the best choice and preferred by track warriors. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
