juzi thats not very constructive, these forums are turning into just a mocking forum, not helping ppl out..
aerotc i reckon go something like a peice of mdf cut to size, then cut holes for speakers, if u have subs might want a couple of holes in the middle to aloow more bas into the cabin (these must be vents not tubes)... make a bit of a pod for ur speaker spaced up off the mdf, and then fibre glass it.
i think there are some pics in the for sale section of a custom parcel shelf

parcelshelf consists of 12mm MDF with auto carpet glued on, bought from from clark rubber, 2 alpine type R 6x9's and 2 sony xplod 4" speakers that arent there anymore, the 4" speakers were removed and the covers left in place, the holes now act as ports for the subs in the boot, and the good thing is, even though the metal has been cut, you can't see it when looking in

And mine looked the same as above, except just 2 x 6" coax in it.
I'll be going something different this time, definately go for flat. How's that done?

Ive never made a parcel shelf before so Im just wondering if all you do is trace around the original one? And do you have to allow for the extra thickness?

05-08-05, 11:26 GMT+10#18 yeah you would have to allow for extra thickness, you would use the original as a base for your though, and you woudnt need to allow that much for the extra thickness. ive never made a parcel shelf myself either, apart from mine, but if ya make one show us it aye .

i traced around the original parcell shelf cut it out on i think 12 mm MDF
the pioneer i gott off the net some where, inlarged it printed it out traced it onto 3mm MDF( that is the max you can do) then cut it out and glued it on
i got it covered by a hotrod motor trimmer ( every one else said it would be too hard) cost me all up about $50-$60
