Rather than use the MY96VS thread i thought i better start one for the latest toy... and is more of a toy than anything. Story goes... VS died, gearbox... bought this Surf as a daily drive planning to use it for pulling the boat and that was about all. Kept the VS for about a month but got the ****s with it and sold it. I kinda went to town on the surf for a little while... if i'd have spent half the money i've spend on the surf on the VS i'd have had a decent VS but i like the surf. Details of the truck- 1992 Toyota Surf SSR-X 2.4L Turbo Diesel (Auto) ARB Winch bar IPF 808 Series spotties MAXXIS Buckshot Mud tyres (31 x 10.5 x 15) about to go on black sunraysias GME TX3200 CB and GME antenna Hayman Reece style towbar w/ recovery hitch 2.5" Mandrel turbo back exhaust Body lifted 1" Air con removed and bash plate removed for added clearance Currently i'm working on ideas for intercooling it and putting a Nissan Patrol scoop on the bonnet. The ARB bar might go in favour of a Superior Engineering tube competition bar, 2" spring lift will happen soon enough, The turbo is being high flowed in a few weeks and a set of Rhino racks will go on. Pics will be coming soon...
