In June 2004, I bought a 1971 Ford Escort MK1 coupe. Original plans were for a quick respray, freshen up the interior and motor, and get driving. But after around six months I changed my mind. I'm now working on an SR20 Twin Turbo engine transplant, full custom interior with XR6T leather buckets and an S13 dashboard, FR17" Simmons wheels, and a heap more. The full list of plans is avaliable here (http://www.savagedynasty.com/niscort/escortplans3current.doc). How it looked the day I brought it home. After a quick respray in matt black. These next few are the most recent, after I decided on the complete rebuild. Anyway I'll try and keep you informed of how it goes. Once I sell my other car I'll have an extra $10k or so to spend, hopefully. This should be enough to purchase my engine and install it myself. I've already got the respray covered, getting it done free at work. Money's the only thing holding me back, as usual. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

might i be the first to say "great idea" and i hope you have deep pockets. the only comment i would make is that 2x T28s is going to be laggy as hell. i would be looking at two T25G roller bearing turbos, with a smallish exhaust housing. unless of course you want it to be a dyno queen/not regular driver, in which case the two T28's will do fine.
