This is my Series 1 Moroon over champeign Calais Tubro, with Red Interior. I baught her in November 2004 off of an middle aged guy in Renmark, South Australia. I Purchased her for $5000 and was relatively untouched performance wise with only a 3 inch pipe from Turbo to Cat, and boost rasied to 9 psi. Turbo was also replaced in 2004 with wat i was told "A Bigger Turbo" with a proof shown, showing the turbo cost $2000 but no one seemed to know exactly what was put on. Im fairly sure its just a stock t3 though. Exterior of the car remains fairly stock aswell, When purchased it was sitting on 16 inch walkinshaw mags and lowered about an inch all round. Apparantly the Calais once was fitted with bit of an LE kit, which included Boot Spoiler, Rear Bar lip, and Front bar lip. but at this stage only the Rear bar lip has survived for unknown reasons. The Walkinshaw mags have now been sold and replaced with a set of VR Clubsport style mags that i had lying around, for a couple months before being changed to cop rims (more on that later). Rear End was also lowered a couple more inchs (bad Bad move) Interior wise the Calais has a series 1 Red interior with all calais options bar a sunroof. For some reason there is also a series 2 center consol and dash cluster in the car at the moment, im not complaining though cos i like it. Stereo consisted of 2 amps, 1 pioneer sub, pioneer stacker, headunit and splits, to which i added a 3rd amp and another sub. Sadly someone thought they deserved this stuff more then i did and 3 amps, 1 sub and the headunit face was stolen the night of Gavins (Platinum)'s Birthday. Momo sports steering wheel has also been added. Currently the front windscreen is home to two yes TWO defect stickers. First one was received for No horn, 1 bald tyre, and suspension. causing it to be a regency full car inspection. Upon this inspection i received another defect notice, this time for a bit more including 1) New Rear passenger Seat belt 2) New Igntion barrel (thanks to a break in attempt) 3) Oil Leaks from Trans and power steering 4) Tints to be removed from Front side windows 5) window washer jets to work 6) Rear parcel shelf to be rewelded and access to child anchorage points through parcel shelf needed 7) Dust boot on steering arm to be replaced 8) all my eyebrow hights are too low, and i only have 95 mm ground clearance under the car. Future plans for the car include, Defects to be cleared. 2k respray in a custom black with lower walky kit. Intercooler kit by Racespec to be finished and fitted (see pics) 3 inch exhaust and a bit more boost. Finished off with a set of 18" ROH Drift Rs New Update : Suspension now all returned to standard to acheive 100mm ground clearance as well as eyebrow hights. Dust boot on steering arm replaced with a new item Parcel shelf will be cut and reweled this weekend, pending weather. thanks for reading.

Well time for an update Defect has been cleared and since then a fair bit has happened. I received the finished intercooler kit from racespec but i havent got around to fitting it yet, cos ive been busy with other stuff on the car. 3 weeks ago i went to the skyline dyno day, and on 10 pound boost, with stock turbo, and stock exhaust, i made 145kw at the wheels in an auto, so i was pretty pleased with that. then the week after that i started the respray originally was gonna be all black with lower walky kit, and le boot spoiler. but for now im going black over silver (calais style) with le boot spoiler here are some progress pics since then, everything but the bootlid has been painted black. and i am yet to do the bumpers silver yet

Since i last updated this ALOT has happened. The VL is back on the road with the respray complete, A VN SS LSD diff Centre has been added to help in my venture for traction, as has a set of 18inch RJR Blade mags, with 235 width tyres all round. Injector hoses were replaced due to leaking injectors, as well as some incab modifications aswell. Boost guage has been moved to the top of the dash in a cup, and turbo timer and alarm light have been moved aswell to help tidy things up a bit. Intercooler and all piping has been fitted, as well as a turbo tech boost controller, and boost has been raised to 15pound, but is in desperate need of a dyno tune. as im still having fuel supply problems, so the boost level may go back down. At the moment i am unsure of power, probably around the 160-170 mark at a guess. More Updates As things happen.

A few other little things have been done since my last update. 3 reconditioned Injectors have been sourced and installed to fix the problems my leaking ones were causing. and I stupidly let the diff run dry on the freeway, causing the pinion to die a horrible death lol. luckily the LSD centre and axels were in good condition so they were put into an NA diff housing and im back on the road again. Car was also lowered at the back while the diff was out. the Rim now sits level with the wheel arch Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

whoa, havent updated this in ages. well since the last update the cars been taken to boostworx and has had the microtech wired up and tuned. and now the car has been fully run in and is awaiting the full tune on the 18th of april. few things have **** themselfs along the way such as the microtech failed and needed to be sent back, the bosch 984 **** itself and has been replaced with a bigger 044 pump. I blew both the head to manifold and manifold to turbos gaskets while the car was attempting to get tuned, 24psi oops :P but for now i think everything is alright and i've just gotta wait another week before everything is happening
