Driving to work this morning, I came to a set of traffic lights which were on the amber, about to turn red, already running late I decide to plant it and drive thru just before it turned to red. next thing I look in the rear view and here comes the red and blue lights screaming up behind me, so I straight away pulled over, then thought to myself "****, double points!!" The cop got out, told me he saw me run the light, gave me a breath test, then he asked me where I was going, so I said to work and also if I had ever had a ticket before, so I said yes and then he said..... I was behind some stupid bitch in a Laser the other day doing 80 in a 100 zone. I was getting a little frustrated so I closed in on her and started swerving from side to side violently lol. A cop on a bike was going the opposite direction and quickly turned around and got me. He walked over then the bitch in the Laser came waddling over telling him that I was trying to run her off the road/cause an accident whatever. I told him I'm not that stupid and I was trying to see in front of her to find out what the bloody holdup was that was making her travel at 20 kays under the speed limit. He told me to not drive like a di(khead in future and said he couldnt think of anything to write a ticket for and sent me on my way. Thanks mate! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

So going by your theory we'd all be doing 100 k's in all 100k areas even when it's pissing down with rain or hail or even in fog - yeah, let's do that.

I partially agree with sc matty if your not going to do the speed limit or close to OR you do not travel at the same speed or close to that other drivers are travelling due to bad driving conditions, rain etc, you are a hazard to other road users and shouldnt be driving on the roads. However, people need more self control and should not ride up another persons ass, as this can also cause an accident. People really need to think about the consequences of their actions before they get into a huff and puff. Cars can be deadly, and its not until it happens to you, or someone that you are close to that makes you realise this.

You guys need to chill out on the roads I think. Remember, it's "Speed Limt" not "The Speed You Have to Drive At." Like on the freeways here, you're allowed to travel at a minimum of 80 kays. And it's annoying when people do, but if they wanna do 80, so be it, that's their call. They have every right. You just suck it up and overtake them when you have a chance. It rarely makes a noticable difference to your journey time, and when you look at what you put at risk, and not only in terms of fines, etc, is it really worth getting wound up about?
