I reckon the next best way or doing it (without getting the calais front) is to get 2 headlight covers and have the top half of the cover painted to look like a calais front.
I've seen it done on a black wagon and it doesnt look to bad.

i have the front fitted and found i lost a hell of alot of light night rain is the worst... and it seemed i wasnt the only one who thought so had to go throught the pits and they said there wasnt enough light or some ****
the best thing i found for this was before putting the calais front on i glued some foil to it where it covers the light this didnt fully fix the problem but it made it heaps better the only problem with that was the foil didnt last very long with the weather.. so i took it back off and got some chrome spray paint ..its been on there and not had a prob in bout a yr

15-06-05, 12:50 GMT+10#15 Yeah i rkn those headlight protectors look pretty good, its a wonder that more people dont do it. Would the black paint block some of the light though?

15-06-05, 14:14 GMT+10#16 The wagon is indeed now turbo. Whether its still on the road I dont know, I havent spoken to him for a while.
Obviously its going to block off a fair bit of light. So if you were to do this to your car id advise you in getting new headlights with brighter clearer bulbs... I am just looking for some headlight covers so I can do it to mine.
